Course Curriculum Overview
The term exams are as follows. There are two semesters in a year, the autumn semester followed by the spring semester.Now, in each semester there are 2 minor examinations and 1 major examination apart from the continuous evaluation.These are of moderate to high difficulty and are good at checking the learning progress of all the students.
Internships Opportunities
The intership opportunities are massive here at IIT Jodhpur.The companies who approach are big- tech companies like Flipkart, Paypal etc.Also, core companies like Atomberg visit.Apart from these, the research internship opportunities are also there.
Placement Experience
Yes, there are campus placements which happen in the month of December and all.fourth year students are eligible to sit in these.The average package is really good especially for circuital branches, who experience average packages of more than 20 LPA.I don't have the exact statistics though.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 292000 per year (including the semester fee and mess and hostel fee).But, there are several concessions.Students belonging to reserved categories like SC,ST or OBC are provided these concessions which range from reducing the tuition fee to 1/3 or to remove it altogether.Apart from them, all students whose annual family income is less than 5 lakh rupees are also eligible for fee concession.
Campus Life
The college life is vivid and very dynamic here. There are many societies which conduct their respective activities.For instance, there are the culture societies and sport societies and extra-curricular societies.Also, several fests are organised throughout the year including the flagship fests Ignus, Prometeo, Kridansh and Spandan.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are really well furnished.Students are provided with single occupancy Air conditioned rooms which are spacious and well lit.Also every hostel is well facilitated with vending machines, laundry sevices, game room, Tv room and a gym, and playgrounds.
Admission
The application process was just like any other IIT.We were selected on the basis of our JEE advance exam ranks.The opening rank in 2022 was around 1300.To be eligible to sit for the JEE Advance exam, firstly, the JEE Mains exam needs to be qualified.
