VIPS BCA 2023/24 Overall Review - BCA from IPU worth?

I chose this course because of my interest in Web applications and WEB3 Faculty to Student Ratio is alright like any other college. Course Curriculum is actually pretty good and up to date (recently updated) - Some are Selectives C Programming Web Dev - HTML,CSS,JS Discrete Mathematics Fundamentals Of IT Technical Communication DSA using C Web based Programming - PHP Applied Mathematics DBMS EVS Computer Organisation OOPS in C++ Python/Cyber Security Computer Network AR VR / .net etc. Management Human Values Java Programming Software Engineering Intro to Management Personality Dev Intro to Data Science Intro to Ai Network Security Web Dev with Python and Django Digital Marketing OS and Linux Computer Graphics Cloud Computing Minor Project Summer Intern Data Visualization and Analytics Web Security Web Dev with Java and JSP Data Warehousing and Data Mining E Com Internet of things Major Project ML with Python Deep learning with python IT Act and Cyber Laws Mobile App Dev

Companies start coming in during the last years in 5th Semester for BCA, Jobs stipend ranges from 10k - 20k a month. Around 30%-60% students get placed from the college Employability plan is to prepare as much for on campus placement but in case no compay hires offcampus is the only option left with students Another plan alot of students also have is to go for masters MCA with NIM CET exam. Highest Package was about 5.5 LPA Lowest can be 1-2LPA. For Btech students VIPS is providing decent roles, recently Geeksforgeeks, Indigo Airlines, Infosys, AON etc My plan is to prepare as much as I can for Placements if not I will keep looking for offcampus opportunities, if nothing works, NIMCET.

Fees Structure is about 1.15L for a year, there are financial assistances for EWS candidates or students who have active ration cards. About 50k or so can be acquired back, in some cases the university (GGSIPU) may give back the 100%. There are merit scholarships available aswell for students who scored good in their semester exams, school exams or IPU CET Fees hike policy really did affect the cost of study in GGSIPU colleges where the fees was previously lesser than 1L p.a No great job or intern opportunities, if there are it is either with no Stipend or a very low pay. Initio Management Fest Vips, ACE Hackathons, Spandan Cultural Fest, Entwine are some of the very annual fests and events conducted here in VIPS, also there is annual GGSIPU fest Anugoonj conducted at the main campus in Noida where every IPU student is invited is also another big students fest. Social Life is as good as you want them to be, there is opportuinity to create large diverse network of people. Books are available, semester books and other educational books Sports ground, Basket Ball court, Badminton Court is available in the campus but no sport equipments are provided by the faculty. Sports wise college recommends to go and participate in the main IPU campus as VIPS campus is not so sport facilitated.

For BCA in IPU - IPUCET Eligibility - 12th pass in any stream Application Form - ipu.admissions.nic.in Cut off - About first 1500 will get admission in the best(technically)IPU colleges out of 6000 No Reservation Benefits availed (GEN) but are available Improvement on the reservation benefits - Students with OBC or Defence background can reserve seat even if they rank last in the IPU CET
