Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very smooth and faculty members are very cooperative and most importantly this college has a good coding culture and all the facilities have done their PhD either from IITs or NITs . Exams have been timely conducted and it all depends on any particular individual that how well he/she is prepared for it

Internships Opportunities

Different companies offer internships opportunities which include summer internship of 6 months and 2 months internship by Microsoft, Apple , JP Morgan, Atlassian etc.Different roles which got offered to students during internship are business development interns, corporate relations internship , HR assistant internship etc.

Placement Experience

The placements of my college is very good. The student get internships opportunities from 3rd year starting itself . Total no of companies visited our college placements are between 250 to 300 and over 750 offers were made to students by them. The highest package of our college is 83 lpa secured by 6 students in which 3 are from electrical engineering, 1 from computer science , 2 from electronic and communication engineering.In electrical engineering placement percentage is 100% this year. My plans after getting degree is to work as software engineer

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is very simplified , as per government norms for sc/st students and for normal students if income is less than 1,00,000 then particular individual will get full rebate on tution fees i.e. 62,500 for nit jamshedpur and for individual having their income less than 5,00,000 they will get 2/3rd remission on their tution fees.

Campus Life

Life in the campus is full of positive vibes. The infrastructure is very cool and there are several clubs which are run by students like REVANTA - technical club , PCON- coding club , INNOREVA - technical club along with that there is one mega technical fest OJASS which is going to held in January 2024. Apart from this different branches organised their respective branch fest which include - NEXUS - by ECE , PRAVARDHAN - by EE , TECHNICA - by MME etc. We have successfully organised our sports fest URJA this year in October and November.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is quite good and rent for each year hostel is 30,000 and we have been provided with wifi and all necessary facilities for living including geysers, common room . Mess food is very good they provide even evening snacks also which you may not found in many IITs and NITs.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

For getting admission in NIT jamshedpur , first of all I had to fill jee main form where I got 97.8449 percentile and my crl is 24948 Our of 1157000 students applied in 2023 jee mains and my category is GEN - EWS and my category rank is 3763 . Although my journey was hard but somehow I made it.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

i have applied for IITs but could not able to get beacuse of slightly lower ranks i didnt get rejection from other colleges as got admission throughJOSSA in NIT jamshedpur admission is solely done through JOSSA . one must take JEE MAINS first then must have a good CRL 0f LIKE 10000 TO 15000 for general category of other state if you are from jahrkhand you can get in lower rank too like 20000 crl rank if you are a general student else it might get lower for the othe category depending upon your category...Read More

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

One of the biggest reason for me to choose this college was, it is the best college with the best average package that I can get on my rank. And it was very affordable for me and I was getting a circuital Branch so it was very easy for me to choose this. The admission process was very smooth you first have to apply for Jossa counselling and in that you have to enter a lot of colleges and based on your rank you will allotted a college and after Jossa finished you also get chance to sit at CSAB counselling, after you get alloted this seat. I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat .
