Placement is great in our college... Recently 6 students got 83LPA package.. the average package for CSE is 27LPA ..for ECE it's 22 LPA and the placement rate is almost 100% for all the branches including mechanical , electrical , civil, PIE , ECM ...

Fees and Financial Aid

In fee Structure , the annual tution fee is 125000 . The hostel + mess fee is 64000 . The there are service fees which are 21000 ( for 1st year it's 38000)... So , the total fee is 227000 per year... For college scholarships , if your family income is below 1L or your from SC/ST or pwd candidate... You got 100% off on college tution fee .... And if your family income is below 5 L You get 2/3 remission from college tution fees... For financial assistance there is internship opportunities in college campus

Campus Life

Life at campus is peaceful and enjoyable ..the campus is large with lush green trees and students from different parts of India.. the infrastructure is decent .. and lot of projects are in under construction process.. so.. in few years it will be great... The library is quite large enough for students and equipped with all the necessary books and computers... Sports and other extra curricular events are very frequent in college campus... There is clubs for almost in the section you can think of... For sports there is clubs for all the sports ... And there is also technical clubs like ojaas , inoreva , phenix and lots more... And the anunal calendar os full of fests like culfest , ojaas , urja etc...

Hostel Facilities

For 1st year we get double shared room .. and from 2nd year .. we get single equipped with all the facilities like wifi . LAN , almirah etc.... The meal is good with option of veg non veg on the basis of student choice... Registration for Hostel is done with your admission process...

Hostel Fee: INR 64000 per year

Admission

Candidates have to qualify for JEE main admission through JOSSA and CSAB. counselling For the Computer science branch in B.tech your rank should be below 9k for general students and for ECE rank should be below 15k for general students. there is reservation like state quota, girls quota, DASA candidate, and normal OBC, Sc, ST, general EWS

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

i have applied for IITs but could not able to get beacuse of slightly lower ranks i didnt get rejection from other colleges as got admission throughJOSSA in NIT jamshedpur admission is solely done through JOSSA . one must take JEE MAINS first then must have a good CRL 0f LIKE 10000 TO 15000 for general category of other state if you are from jahrkhand you can get in lower rank too like 20000 crl rank if you are a general student else it might get lower for the othe category depending upon your category...Read More

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

One of the biggest reason for me to choose this college was, it is the best college with the best average package that I can get on my rank. And it was very affordable for me and I was getting a circuital Branch so it was very easy for me to choose this. The admission process was very smooth you first have to apply for Jossa counselling and in that you have to enter a lot of colleges and based on your rank you will allotted a college and after Jossa finished you also get chance to sit at CSAB counselling, after you get alloted this seat. I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat .
