Entrance Preview

VITEEE exam will be held every year overall in India for admission to various b.tech courses in the university. If you are looking for world-class facilities and the ability to use them, you have come to the right place. VIT has very good lab facilities and students are encouraged to use them as much as they can for projects (there's a caveat here which I'll get to later) and other non-curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would say is not extraordinary but not bad either. The same holds good with placements. The FFCS system is a double-edged sword. It's very good and quite efficiently managed, considering the sheer number of students that it serves. On the flip side, if you happen to have a bad time slot in your lottery, you're basically screwed. The system is meant to be used when the teacher-student ratio is decently balanced and there are sufficient courses on offer for all.

Internships Opportunities

As I am now in 2nd year I didn't have attended any internship yet but according to my senior's views much big company have a tie-up with VIT for an internship program to be offered to VIT students and also good stipend will be provided as per rules and regulations of the university.

Placement Experience

5

Record placements have been noted every year by VIT. Many big companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, etc have placed hundreds of students every year.

College Events

5

Mainly three national-level events are being held every year in university.1. RIVIERA - cultural2. INVICTUS - management and business, 3. GRAVITAS - technical, all are National Events.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, I don't know about any good scholarship that is being offered by VIT also Indian bank has its branch inside the VIT campus and they also provide various types of loan.

Campus Life

5

Nice campus, good crowd. Awesome and conducive learning environment. VIT gave me a chance to interact with people from various states and countries which widened my outlook. The faculty is great there.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Nice campus, good crowd. Awesome and conducive learning environment. The Chennai campus is new, the infrastructure is modern, hostels are superb, good food. The fee structure is very feasible, as compared to any other private college its slightly expensive all.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meet held and also various alumni are in touch with the alumni association of the university. Senior students are very helpful. Strict regulations against ragging also many senor students have their startups being started in the university and working for those.

Exam Structure

Scheduled exams will be taken. Quiz 1, 2, 3 then cat - 1, 2 then final assessment exam will be taken. Sometimes it will be leaving us with a hectic day and sometimes it will be chilled out depending on preparation for the exam.

Faculty

4.5

VIT gave me a chance to interact with people from various states and countries which widened my outlook. The faculty is great there. In all Ph.D. faculties, the student-teacher ratio is well balanced. The student gets to make his own time table and its very flex

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.
