The clubs, the committees, different student chapters
The library is really a pretty place to hang out and study
The feats conducted and various workshops

Dislikes

Construction that goes on all the time in the campus
The in time and curfew for girls hostel and not for boys
The biasness at times between the wardens and by faculty

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was good enough as I saw that several other colleges provided a similar curriculum for the same course that I m studying. But at times the faculties weren't that interactive and many a times left it to the students.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The opportunity for scholarships is not very widely discussed with the students. And also there very little to none scholarships based on merit for all students, every other scholarship had some eligibility criteria of parents income.

Campus Life

Being a central government college the infrastructure is not as developed for aesthetics and also every point of time, there is always some or other construction going on in the campus. Other than that, the labs and other equipments are available but not maintained well at some point.

Admission

The admission process was actually tedious and also at times the required documents list wasn't very clear. They did make a list but it was common for all categories and the mention of categories was also very confusing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Admission process is mainly based on CCMT , JOSSHA, ISR , etc Depending on the exams which u have given, u can get selected for this college. I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
