- The large campus size, the first year hostels are well mantained
- The night life is great, the fests are quite good and sports and extra curricular activities are promoted
- The placements are above average for top branches, amole services in the campus
Dislikes
- Some second year hostels are very poorly mantained
- Campus is large but a lot of the area is empty and not utilised at all
- Placements are not very nice for lower branches and course curriculum is not updated
Course Curriculum Overview
The term exams are held thrice every semester and are held quite timely with not much time in between. The exams are not too difficult to pass and can be cleared even by studying a day before the exam
Internships Opportunities
There are ample companies that provide internship especially for top branches like computer, ece and electrical. For it roles, companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Adobe come for internship roles and provide decent stipend. For circuital branches companies like Texas instruments, Nvidia and Intel also provide internships
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for internships from second year onwards and pre placement offers from third year onwards. Many top companies visit the campus like Microsoft, Google, jpmc and more. More than a thousand offers are made to students every year. The highest offers are made by top it companies like Microsoft, Google and deloitte in it roles and the highest package is 82lpa. Average package depends on branch but overall average package is around 10 lpa. Percentage of placements depends on branch but is more than 90% for branches like cse and ece. I plan to take placement in an it firm after my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a purely government college the fees cannot be hiked without any prior notice. The fees are relatively low to study and the entire course of 4 years can be done in about 8 lakh rupees. I have not got any scholarship, financial assistance or job from campus till now
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is called maffick held in the month of March and the tech fest is technofest held in November. There is ample amount of books and journals available in the library. Classrooms are spacious and fiited with projectors and screens. Sports and extra curricular activities are promoted and college takes part in the inter nit competitions. There are many clubs run by students like e cell, iste and gdsc.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are different for different years in the college. Each room has a bed, study table and chair. Meal quality is not very good. The hostels have a mess committee of students that decide the menu. The registration process of the hostel is once you visit the campus and rooms are allotted on basis of first come first serve. The prices are fairly affordable.
Admission
No reservation benefits are availed. The admission process is quite smooth but once college is selected through josaa counselling they can provide a bit more time in paying the fees and reporting to the college
