There is no such entrance examination to get into this college. The only procedure is to fill up the online application form which is released just after the ISC, CBSE and WBHS results on the college website. A few days later the merit lists are published and the admission process begins. There are no separate lists for different boards. You can expect yourself admitted in this college if your aggregate marks are around 87%, however you will have to wait for 3rd and 4th lists for that.

Astush college has hostel facilities but since I do not stay at hostel I cannot inform much about the hostel facilities and conditions. However, some of my friends stay at hostels and they never complain about the food or the infrastructure or maintenance of the hostel.

The exam structure is strictly according to the Calcutta university curriculum. However periodic tests can be conducted by the department. The examinations are quite tough and help us in revising the topics and keep ourselves thoroughly prepared for the university examinations.

As soons as the ISC results were published, the website of asutosh college simultaneously published a notification informing about the dates of online application and the release of merit lists. One simply has to fill up the application form and wait for the merit lists to be published. As soons as the lists get published the candidates mentioned on that lists are required to go to the college on the mentioned dates with their original marksheet and fees and simply take the admission.

The faculty of geology department consists of 7 teachers. 4 of them hold Ph.d. degree in their respective field of Specialisation or research. The teachers are quite simple making it easier to reach them and ask whatever questions or doubts you have.
