About my college

The college management is proper. All you need to do is if you fell short for any NIT then this is the college people have been choosing.

I gave JEE Mains and scored 155 marks but my rank was not enough for a good NIT, and so I preferred SGSITS college because it is in Indore, a place where you get so much exposure for learning apart from the college curriculum.

I am strongly in favor of the curriculum taught as it is so similar to the one asked for GATE and exams. You will be thorough of the technical aspects and placement point of view. There are very good chances of you choosing a Master's program after completing your BE here and so is the course here, it supports.

The college does provide internship with companies like GOLDMAN SACHS approaching by last two years with the highest intern payment of 75000per month. There are other companies coming with lower packages and the students are trained enough to find an intern on their own.

Placement and job opportunities are everyday improving.various companies are called upon for the placements. Packages still don't cross 10lacs per annum, but students have reached even better milestones on their own. The competitive environment is so supportive.The Training and Placement cell is highly active and rigorously working for the welfare of us.

Sports week Apart from the official events there are amazing club events that fills your college life with perfect amount of thrill and joy and of course you make memories during these events. And there is a large exposure for students to show their skills in successful organization of events.

The fee structure is very normal as like a govt college and won't much affect your pocket in the name of education. So I call it feasible. Even though you can opt for loan and the college will cooperate good enough. Ranging from 32k to 40k will be the semester fee depending on the branch you choose.

Various banks provide loan. But, the college has a number of scholarships that you can apply for. These scholarships are class 12 performance based, reserved categories have great advantage as they have other different scholarships for them only. Also there are scholarships for students coming from very long distances like JandK, lakshadweep, Northeast etc.

The campus life and after lecture life at SGSITS is very amazing. All you need to do is make friends and be available for them, rest you all end up making each other's life beautiful. There are various seminars and workshops every other week, a number of club events every semester and department events too. The gender ratio is very comfortable. All other factors like ethnicity, student diversity, and others are normal and won't make any trouble for the fresher's.

A strong and active alumni network with a lot of contributions from Alumni. There are Alumni meets every year. Some centre of attraction like E-cell and Startup cell has enormous contribution from the alumni.

Examination structure is quite general. You have to attend MidSem tests twice a semester. And sometimes faculties even call for a third MidSem exam. There are routine internal and external practical examinations and the semester ending exam. No such buzz of exams, all can be easily managed, hazel free.

Admission was based on MP STATE LEVEL COUNSELLING. You'll have to once attend any of the government college in MP for document verification and then visit the respective allotted college. The admission process is simple and very well described in the MP-DTE website.

The faculty here, is the best thing about this college. With a very good reputation, faculties here are mostly post graduated from IITs and to be specific, few HODs are from IISc Bangalore. The faculty are generous and a blessing if you wish to do projects under them.
