Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science was the branch I wanted and I got also. And CSE MANIT placements percentage was more than 90% that time. There are separate departments and faculty teachers with respect to each branch. Some are highly qualified but some are not. Their teaching methods are boring sometimes and interesting sometimes. In term exams, we get the content what is taught to us in most of the subjects. And in some subjects, out of syllabus questions are also added. Moderate difficulty.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year, students are eligible for internships. And in final year(4th year of engineering) they are eligible for both (internships and placements). Please contact to me for more details on year 2019 placements, I have the ollege magazine having all details. In CSE branch placements rate is above 90%. And it decreases in order of ECE, Electrical, civil, mechanical, chemical, metallurgy branches. I chose to job in the company where I was placed(Samsung R&D Noida)
Fees and Financial Aid
In first year, fees was high more than 1 lacs and from 2nd year it was around 80k. My juniors was having modified fee structure, so for them it was affordable around 20k per semester. I have not applied for any scholarship, so not aware but we can easily get education loan. Some of my friends, had taken loan from sbi. Manit has SBI bank branch also so it's easier to do all bank things in same place. I had got internship from GE at 30k stipend.
Campus Life
Maffick annual techno cultural fest College has big library and course related books can be obtained easily. Issue and return policy is simple. We have to opt for library card as part of admission process. Classrooms has green board and white board. Table and chairs for students and water cooler outside of the class. College has free gym. College conducts sport competitions, and they participate in inter NITs competitions. All the clubs are run by college students only in Manit. Some clubs are Rotaract, Vision, IEEE, ISTE, Tooryanaad, A se Ainak, Roobaro, Maffick, Aaroha, Purge. All clubs info can be checked in manit site https://www.manit.ac.in
Hostel Facilities
I opted for Hostel, the rooms provided to first year girls are very small. A room will have 4 beds, 2 tables, 2 cupboards and we can't roam because this only fills the room. Common 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets for 8 rooms means for 32 people. But in second year, Girls are moved to new block where we have a large room (3 seater or 2 seater). One room will have attached bathroom and one kitchen platform, 2 large cupboards. Room has double door preventing mosquitoes from entering. Girls Hostel mess is run by students, quality is good and menu also is versatile, includes different options as per season(summer, winter) Some Hostel amenities- washing machine room, water cooler in each wing, mess, swings, courtyards, waiting area for parents and relatives. Registration is very easy, just have to fill one form and submit. You will enjoy Hostel life:D
Admission
Eligibility- JEE Main JOSSA site- all details can be obtained on seat allocation and registration and application. Before admission process, college should make sure to Organize one session for new students to present all necessities and requirements, not only on what but how to complete that also. It will be beneficial for them.
