IHM Lucknow is a good to go with choice you would never regret your decision of choosing this college over other it has its pros and cons where pros overtake the cons so in my view one should definitely take and choose this college is he or she gets chance

I sat for JEE exam for Ihms which is held by central government which helps in allocation of students to different state and central government college's and other government approved institutions for the same course. I scored 1052 air tank and opted Lucknow as it was in my hometown and it ranked 4 in air ranking although I had chance to opting better college's like Ihm pusa and Ihm mumbai but yet i opted Ihm lucknow

The course structure is not the best but then this is the conditions of all Ihm all over the country the course is a bit outdated and adhere to basic guidelines set years back but the academic teaching and effort of research help the student a lot in gaining the upper hand over the outdated syllabus problem

The college does help students with internship if they themselves are unable to find any in extreme cases , the stipends vary form hotel to hotel so there is no fixed rate for stipends and the college strictly monitors the performance of students and hotel while the time of training and provides any assistance which is required by the students during training period

Placement and job opportunity are very much in favor of students a lot of retail and hotel-centric companies come to campus for selection and take a lot of talented students from our college the students are rarely disappointed with the placement in our college average package are 15k for students this year.

There are various events going in the college round the year students opt their name to participate Lohri party and other parties are some common get together events in college plus there is an annual fest Concordia which happens usually in winters and the whole college participate actively in this fest

The fee structure is good and is apt for such course as the total fee does not go beyond 3 lakh and is thus affordable by many students who have a monetary problem the fee has to be submitted semester wise each year has 2 semesters and there are total of 6 semesters in the full course duration

There are no scholarship or loan facilities provided by college although the college gives the prize of 5 thousand rupees to the students who top their respective year and achieve great success

Extracurricular activities are not much inculcated in the college syllabus and thus as per demand the college only take care that they are not left around and thus organize only one yearly fest for such events know as Concordia in winters students ratio as per male to female is 40:50

The hostel fee is also at par with the college fee it suits needs of average person but does not promise seats to all and not to mention the rooms are average and are usually shared by two to three students the hostel also provides with library and a small playground there are strict entry and exit rules and timings for the hostel students.

The best part of Ihm Lucknow is its alumni and its seniors they are the most helpful guy's in the college and help students that are junior get the best of their opportunity and thus act as a stronghold of this college Athens alumni are placed in various heads of different organizations which also help in placements

Exams structure is not very students friendly but then again it's not the fault of college it's what the central University appoints only the internals are set by the college which is also of the similar pattern with the central one and this helps student's grab the opportunity and learn and adapt to the exam schedule

There is a first temporary choice locking procedure which students have to do online then there are various rounds of councillings which take place in the Ihm allover indian students have to report to the given places and then do a permanent choice locking of college's which then atlast with the given college choice helps in allocating college's according to rank and availability

Faculty and staff of Ihm Lucknow is very well trained and educated teachers in this institution have taught very famous and well known personalities in the hotel industry chef Mr. Ranvir brar is one of many examples of the same , the teachers not only focus on academics but also lay importance on basic character building of the student and his overall development
