Jaypee : A fruitful journey

Overall our college is pretty good for anyone with a rank between 40000-200000 and provides decent placement opportunities . The management are often helpful although some of the senior management dont provide enough time/respect to your concerns .In conclusion ,Jaypee is a pretty good engineering college if you are independent and can seize opportunites

I took Jee Main examination and I scored 132 marks . i wanted to pursue computer science and with my rank , Jaypee Institute of information technology seemed the best option as it had good placement record and good faculty

The course structure is quite updated and the subjects are of interest to the respective field but some core subjects such as evs and life skills can be of little significance to some students . Research can be carried out by students with the aid of concerned faculty and overall the curriculum is pretty decent

No , as far as i know , our college doesn't provide internship . Although our college ensures that all the students must get an internship in the 3rd year

The placement is the best feature of our college.The placement percentage is usually over 100 percent . Top companies like Amazon ( ctc over 27 lacs ) , SAP labs(ctc over 10 lacs),Deloitte, Barclays and Wipro come to our college . CSE students are most likely to be placed in the top companies

Our college is very active and technical and cultural events . They are held at a very big level . Our tech fest cybersristhi is usually spanned over 2 days and includes hackathons, coding competitions etc and our cultural fest , Impressions is also 2 days long and is very fun to attend

Its not very expensive when compared to other private colleges in India. Our fees is approximately over 2 lacs per annum and its payment is divided over two semesters . Although compared with other government engineering colleges ,our fees is a little expensive .

As far as i am aware , no loan facilities are provided by our college but around 5-10% seats are reserved for students belonging to a low income family and a good chunk of their fee is removed too

Our campus life is very exciting . The campus is a bit small but we celebrate a lot . The college hubs organise a lot of parties for their members .Boys:Girls ratio is near about 3:1 Our college lacks ins sports facilities (absence of a football field)

The hostel facilities are quite nice . AC works from 10 pm to 5 am in the morning and wifi is very fast and the rooms are very clean . Adequate hostel rooms are available for both boys and girls and they are sharing rooms . The food in the mess is average at best and sometimes pretty unhygienic too

Our college seniors are often very helpful .Our college has a strict no ragging policy . Our alumni and seniors have always been very helpful in guiding us towards the right career paths and they teach us a lot

The exam structure is probably the worst thing about our college . There are too many lab tests and exams . we have three examinations for theory (T1 T2 AND T3 ) and three lab exams as well . This makes our schedule very hectic and also makes it difficult for us to maintain a good gpa

The admission in JIIT is through JEE Main rank only .I procured the admission forms online but this process can be done offline too by visiting the main campus in Noida sec-62 .I saw the notification after giving my jee mains . First , there was the seat allotment / counselling day which took place for 2 days . The administration was very helpful and kept guiding us even when there was some confusion

The faculty of the first year was pretty good ; had adequate knowledge and were willing to assist the students at all times but this changed in the second year . The teachers were not updated on the new technologies and were reluctant to offer their help outside the class
