Course Curriculum Overview
I chose electronics and communication as I was interested in integrated circuit designing. There are enough faculty for each subject. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders while others are Masters with good experience. Term exams were on time and conducted nicely. I felt difficulty in some questions. Exams were moderately tough.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available from 4th semester. Many companies like tsc provide internship with good stipend. The kind of project depends on the the company whose internship we are doing. I am not doing any internships currently but I have plans to do next year.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Many companies like cisco, infosys, tsc visit the campus during campus placements. Highest package last year was 1.2 crores and lowest was about 4 lakhs. Percentage of students getting places varies as many of them go for masters degree. I am planning to learn from the industry by doing a job after getting degree and then do business.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the first year of electronics and communication engineering is 1,32,000 rs and it increases each year by some amount. I have not applied for any scholarships yet but O will surely do in future. ECE students also get free bus facility.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. Currently we are hosting Smart India Hackathon grand finale and there will be a tech fest soon. Books and journals are available in the library which can be issued from library with the help of library card. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and LAN connection. Sports events are conducted frequently. We are also winners of many nodal tournaments. There are 41 clubs in our college like alumni interaction club, sports club, programming club.
Hostel Facilities
I live in college hostels. They are nothing less than a luxury for a middle class boy. Every room has three beds, three almiras, three book shelves, and an attached bathroom. Meal quality is fine, chapatis are sometimes average and seasonal vegetables are provided with sometimes chineze food snacks. Hostel registrations are done during physical document verification process. Hostels are quite good for the price they charge per year. We also have lift in our hostel and option for ac rooms is also there.
Admission
After I completed my 12th, I prepared for Joint Entrance Exam. I gave the exam and got 80.999 percentile. On its basis I got admission into the college through MPDTE counselling. Its form is released after the results of JEE exams. I enjoyed reservation benifits as I am OBC and also from home state reservation. Admission process was really good and college staff was also helpful during physical document verification process. According to me it is fine and no such major improvements are required.
