My overall experience in this college has been good. There is equal focus on both theoretical and practical learning.
Entrance Preview
In order to join the BBA course i had to write an entrance test , go through a group discussion and an interview session. The questions asked were all based on general knowledge, current affairs, mathematics and verbal comprehension. Joining this college was not my plan, but after writing my entrance test here (which i did only for a backup) i changed my mind. I really liked the place once i had actually been there. I have always had an interested in business and marketing in particular, which is why i opted for this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
BBA in general is not such a great course to take up unless you improve on your knowledge and researching skills, as that is what will make you stand out from the large and competitive crowd that we see pursuing the same course. For this reason, the college has started a compulsory internship program for all the students from the very first year. Again for getting selected in a company one has to go through various selection processes which well prepares us before graduating and applying for a job as an actual candidate. Every student is expected to submit a report on what they have learnt in their respective companies they have worked in which i feel is a great learning opportunity. The college also offers a dual qualification program wherein one can opt from various certification courses like- CIM, IOC, Event Management, etc. It is a center for a Toastmasters Club something which i have always wanted to be a part of, as public speaking skills is very important in the field of management.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. The college provides internship from the very first year of the course. The internship that i have gone through in the first semester was quite good. Most of the companies were start ups. In order to get an internship in the top companies one had to go through rigorous selection rounds conducted by the college. But after all of it, even after being selected many didn't get proper response from the college.
Placement Experience
From what i have heard, majority of students get placed. The major companies that have come up are Google, Amazon and Ebay.
College Events
The college conducts an international fest-PRECIPICE every year in different countries where students from various countries take part. There are other fests like Lasya as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The major drawback of joining this college is the fee structure. The BBA program costs 1.85 lakhs which is very high compared to other colleges. But if you are dedicated towards studies you could get a scholarship by writing an additional test, or could get a chance to go on a free abroad trip (held every year) depending on your performance in academic and non-academic fields which i think is a great deal.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provided a scholarship based on an average of the scores in the scholarship exam and 12th/PUC marks. The amount depends on the marks scored, ranging from 10,000-40,000
Exam Structure
Exams are not conducted very frequently. The college timings are also quite chilled. There are various competitions and fests conducted time to time which keeps us occupied.
Faculty
The teachers are very well qualified and have updated knowledge in their field of teaching. They are very interactive and make use of presentations to make the sessions more interesting.
