I would say the best decision I made is selecting sathyabama university.

Sathyabama University among other deemed university provides you standard education along with a lot of extra curricular activities. Techno summit, silicon 2k 17 are some of the events. There are many professional clubs such as Dr. Kalam's club, iclub, math club etc. in which we can get enrolled and participate actively in it.

Sathyabama university is a deemed university and it does not affiliated to Anna University. So I had to write All India Entrance Exam conducted by the university. The application fee was 1000 rupess. You can apply in online or offline mode. Based on the marks scored in the entrance exam I was called for counselling and got my admission order in cse department.There was no interview during admission. I chose cse department because I had interest on it and moreover I was computer science student during 11th and 12th standard.

The course curriculum is well designed. The course curriculum is evenly split for eight semesters in a four year course of study. They do emphasize on practical learning but learning a subject practically is based on personnel interest towards the subject. There are research initiatives in our college. As per united grants commission order we have choice based credit system which offers us elective courses

Our college provides a lot of workshops, conferences and events throughout the year but they do not provide internships in college. But it is mandatory for the students attend atleast one internship and submit report during third year.I did my internship in BSNL. It was more or less similar to regular college class with practical sessions.There no stipend given.

Sathyabama University has signed MoU with many companies, so we have good placements in our college. College provides us technical training from virtuous companies. Placement percentages have been good but for the last year the placement declined a bit.The average salary package is 2,50,000-3,50,000 rupees per annul. The prominent companies are capegemini, virtusa, cts, ibm, cognizant.

Our college has many professional clubs which keeps on organizing various events, fests and workshops. All students are allowed to participate in the events but we have to pay fee for participating in the events. They also conduct workshops which helps us to improve our technical knowledge.

The fee for one year is nearly 1,85,000 rupess. This amount might seem to be high but it is actually low when compared with other universities. Hostel fee is sixty thousand rupees per year. Transportation and food that is breakfast and lunch are free of cost.The fee can be paid either online or offline.

Remibai Jeppiar Scholarship is provided for the top rank holders in entrance exam conducted by university and for top rank holders in semester exams. College also provide scholarship to underprivileged students from agaram, maatram and other foundations.

Hostel rooms were actually comfortable but the timings for getting into the hostel and other rules are annoying. So I shifted to pg outside the hostel. Most of the boys in Sathyabama University stay in college hostel only for the first year.

Group study in hostel makes stressful exams into cool things. Just spending a night before exam in group study helps to clear continuous assessment exams but for semester exams we have to start the preparation atleast two one week before the exams. Practical exams are easy to clear as we have lab classes regularly.

Faculty members put their heart and soul in teaching us.They use different techniques in explaining us the concepts. Faculty members are well qualified with good experience in teaching. They share with us a lot of latest advancements and technology in various domain.In Sathyabama University the quality of teaching is good.
