- Have a nice infrastructure with much greenery and birds chirping around you can also witness peacocks inside the campus.
- A market basically food stalls next to our college building when you’re bored of canteen food can go there and have budget friendly food
- Students go to IITs and many reputed institutions to compete in sports and cultural.
Dislikes
- Most of the staff is not lenient with students for attendance there is huge mess up for maintaining 75% compulsory attendance
- College is not much couple friendly not all but some senior faculty members do not like it
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose AIML because of its upcoming worth and we know AI is our future so there is a huge scope in this field. We have a decent student to faculty ratio in AKGEC like it is rare that you get a free lecture even when the faculty member is absent and most of the faculty members are phd holders whereas some are not but offer a decent learning to the students. About exams we have to give 1 ST 1 PUT (pre university) and 1 UT ( university examination ) the st's and put's are based on the difficulty level of ut itself and is not that tough to pass also prepares you well enough for UT examinations
Fees and Financial Aid
The btech fees differ accordingly to the branch you have opted though every branch fees goes around 1.5 lac with a slight 3-4 thousand rupees difference. There are various scholarship schemes in AKGEC which you can avail for yourself fulfilling the required critera where one major criteria is 75 % attendance you must secure 75% attendance to obtain any scholarship.
Campus Life
Due to covid there were none events happening in the college whereas this year the started the diwali fest much fun with games and food stalls. And a sports week you can participate in any sports giving trials of the same and enjoy a whole week or fun and sports. There are multiple societies like music, dance, photography, technical society and many more with multiple domains, getting into which is through a form followed by several interviews.
Admission
I got admitted into the college through my 12th PCM percentage you need a min 90% in PCM for direct admission to get a cs oriented branch. You can get to know about the college on AKTU website or college website itself. For direct admission you have to visit the college to go through the admission process where you are required to give a mcq based test a small test based on 11-12 th standard basics and a small interview by senior faculty you'll get the admission form from college itself within a given period of time fill and submit it.
