Entrance Preview
I took AIEEE in 2008 and scored around 110 approx and opted for this University as I had to take ECE as my subject and in other colleges this branch was full, then I heard it was a good college and seats for ECE branch were vacant, So I immediately opted for this University. However, turned out it was an average college but anyhow I managed with a campus Placement.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at Dr. M.G.R. University is very standard one as it follows Anna University's Syllabus(previously it as under Anna University but, the faculties are worst xcept a few one so you need to work hard if you want to get good score and get placed.
Internships Opportunities
No this University doesn't provide any kind of internship. However you can apply for a fellowship and if you are lucky enough, they will call you for interview and if you satisfy the requirements I hope you'll be given a fellowship but regarding Stipend, I doubt .
Placement Experience
Frankly if you want to get job from this University, you need to work real hard. The list of companies coming here is really really small usually HCL, Syntel, odyssey, National Instruments and all will be coming. But they will hire only the best ones so, you need to stand out of the crowd.
Fees and Financial Aid
You can get loan easily from all the banks as it is listed in AIEEE apart from that, no other scholarship is provided from this University as I am aware of. Although you can contact the VC or admission office for any such recent Information.
Campus Life
Campus life is mostly dependent on how you want it to be. For me I enjoyed a lot although the campus is not so big, but anyhow its good for an Engineering college. If you want to get enrolled in ETC you can enroll in a big list of these. They have everything on the list of etc. from Robotics, University football team, cricket team, hockey team, to Formula racing team.
Alumni/Alumna
The University recently started keeping a track of the Alumni although they had a annual Alumni meet every year. I don't know how they managed to contact them.
