Sathyabama university is the best thing happened in my life.

The faculty members are the best part in Sathyabama University. These four years that I spent in Sathyabama made me a stronger person. I gained confidence from this college which will make me have a successful career. It should take care of the plates washing as it is very dirty and unhygienic This should be taken to the management notice. I got good exposure to many opportunities and got a good social circle.

As Sathyabama University is a deemed university it is not affiliated to Anna University. So I had to write a national level entrance exam conducted by the college. I got into the college through proper counselling process but however management quota seats are also available. There was no interview during admission. On my own interest I chose ece.

The course which I chose was electronics and communication engineering. It course was great and the curriculum was well designed.The curriculum is periodically amended according to the needs of the industry. There are many research initiatives done in the college but there is no much participation of under graduate students in research. As we have choice based credit system in our college we elective courses during pre final and final year.

Our college does not provide any internship so I did internships from other companies. I did one internship during second year and the other during third year. During internships I learned lot which can be only learned in companies. No stipend was provided during internships but in return we need to pay the amount.

Placement training have already started for us. There are many product based and service based companies that are visiting our college.Some of the major companies are Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon etc. Placement percentages were always good but or the past year it got decreased.The average salary package is 3,50,000 per annum.

Our college conducts many events but they do not conduct any big events. They do the events in organised way and we have to pay fees for participate in the events. They also organise lectures from experts and technical workshops.

The fee amount is actually high and the college college keeps on increasing the fees for the subsequent batches. I pay around 2,50,000 per year in which hostel fee is about 60,000 rupees. Transportation and food for day scholars is free of cost.This is an added advantage to many of the day scholars.

I was not eligible for any scholarships but the college helped me in getting educational loan. underprivileged students and physically challenged students are given scholarships.Students from agaram and maatram foundations also study in our college under scholarship.

I am residing in hostel Hostels are not available for final year boys. Single rooms are not available. Room are always shared by 5-6 students.Hostel fee is sixty thousand per year. The hostel room were average and food was also not very good.

I love practical class and I am very happy that they give a lot of importance to practical learning. But when it comes to theory exams it is bit taxing as we prepare only a day before exam. Group study is the key point in clearing the papers. Group study was the saviour during exam times.

The faculty members are very enthusiastic in imparting knowledge to us. Our university recruits only qualified staffs. Apart from academics they encourage and help us in various extra curricular activities. They are being a source of motivation to us. Most of all they are unbiased with the students. The quality of education is good in our college.
