Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Manipuri as my honors in graduation is because of my love for my language. Up untill recently, there had been a transition in the regional language from Bengali to the native Manipuri script. So, there was growing demand for Manipuri Teachers, which influenced my decision to pursue for my graduation. My department had like 60 students, and the teachers were very supportive. However, some students did not take their studies seriously. Regular assignment were assigned, and exam were held twice a year. it was to easy to pass the exam but very to hard to score significant number.
Fees and Financial Aid
All expenses were within the affordable range. The primary fees to covered were the admission fees and the semester form fill-up.The admission fee amounted to only Rs.3500. while the Arts form fill-up was Rs,1200 only, payable twice annually. This affortability made it accessible for all the students. Additionally, NSP scholarships were accessible for reservations students like SC,ST,OB, granting them rs,8000 per year. However, the absence of campus placement was the only drawback of the college.
Campus Life
The campus life was serene, surrounded by nature, and notably quiet with minimal students presence on regular days. However, during the election periods, the college buzzed with a multitude of students. The Fresher meet stood out as the biggest event in the college, drawing students and outsiders alike to partake in the festivities. The library provided easy access to wide ranges of books, study materials, and notes. Adjacent to the college, there was a large ground where annual sports event took place. During my tenure, there was no students clubs, although I've heard in recent times, clubs become available for students to join.
Admission
There are't any particular eligibility requirements for admission. The sole requirements is passing 12th examination. If your from science stream then you can apply for any course but for Arts you can't go for BSc courses. Admission didn't invole any entrance exam, it operated on a first-come, first-serve basis. All we needed to do was to complete an admission form. The college issued a challan which had to be paid at Manipur Primary Co-operative Bank. Typically, admission forms were available in July after the 12th exam results were out. Various reservations benefits were available such as reservations seats, scholarships, etc. The admission process was really easy. I dont think there is a room for improvement.
