Be clear about your priorities about college life before taking admission in the Modinagar Campus of SRMIST.

I opted for BTech in CSE because I had a zeal for coding and development basically. Opting for BTech doesn't make you only an engineer but it really helps in the overall growth and development of an individual in all spheres of life. The faculty here is very well qualified, many are MTech in their fields or a PhD. If you are well mannered, then there won't be any issues with the faculty members. They are quite approachable and friendly in that sense. The most irritating thing about SRM is their cycle tests, which are held thrice a semester, and almost every month. You have to perform well in the tests as they hold a weightage of 60% in the overall grading for the semester. If you are even a little serious about studies, I assure you that scoring a good cgpa will be an easy task for you.

The internships are provided to several students only if they are worthy of it. Their projects and skills need to be good in order to get the internship opportunity. Several companies like google, adobe, uber, amazon etc offer internships for students. You can also try joining internships on your own. A minimal stipend of 10-15k is provided mostly by the companies. It would be best if you keep learning something extra for your own knowledge and development and start applying for the internships in the begining of the 3rd year.

There are sevel reputed companies and also mass recruiters that come to the campus every year for hiring students. The reputed dream companies like barclays, optum, amazon, microsoft, walmart, adobe, JP morgan offer students a very good package. The highest for the year 2022-2023 was 44 lpa offered by amazon. The mass recruiters ofcourse offer much less as compared to these companies. Companies like infosys, TCS offer around 4-6 lpa. Students can apply for the campus placements from the begining of the 7th semester.

The fee structure was earlier different for CSE core branch and other CSE specializations. But in the year 2023, the fee structure was made same for all the branches and increased to 3L per annum. As for the scholarship, it is provided to the backward classes. The college provides you with numerous internship opportunities and several reputed companies come to hire students from the campus. Many good students are placed in microsoft every year with a good package of about 12 lpa.

There are several clubs in the college for students with different interests like coding, music, poetry, dance, etc. A grand 2 day cultural fest is organised in the college every year called The Rubaroo mostly conducted in the month of February. Other than that, the freshers party is organized by the college itself every year for the new students. The library is well-built with porper space to study. The classrooms are air-conditioned and provided with the smartboards. Several sports events are also held for cricket, volleyball, table tennis, football and basketball.

The admission in the SRM University is done through both jee and srmjee which is an entrance exam held by the university itself. You can easily apply for the srmjee through online application form. You are alloted the branch and campus on the basis of your score and rank. The cutoff for the year 2022 for CSE was around 10,500 for all campuses.
