Dislikes
- The most disliked thing is the attandance criteria.
- You need to maintain the overall 75% attandance for attending the sessional exams otherwise you are not allowed to take the exam.
- Extra curricular activities are limited as no time for doing other activities
Course Curriculum Overview
The scope and future of the IT sector is immense So by career prospects I choose the Information Technology branch. The faculty student ratio is around 1:20 All the faculty members are well qualified (mtech , PhD Holder) The teaching style of the faculty members are different like some have conventional approach and some have unique style of teaching. There are 3 types of exams are conducted like sessional exam(college level), Semester exam(conducted by University), practical (college -level). Difficulty level is easy to medium.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester students are eligible for attending the internship drive and in 7th semester they are allowed to take the placement opportunities in the college. The service based companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys,hexaware, naggaro ect are visiting the campus for placement. In 2022 70 to 80 percentage students are getting placed and in 2023 it is decreased by 30 to 40 percent.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure in my time is 112525 for first year and then 107525. I have no idea for current fees structure but it is similar for whole 4 year excluding first year caution money. Up state scholarship is provided by government if applicable.
Campus Life
The campus of the college is cherish with greenery which includes multiple types of plants. The annual techfest of the college is enigma you can go through the college website for more information. The library of the college is very lucrative with advance features but the books are quite older
Hostel Facilities
They provide the room based on the students requirements like ac room, non- ac rooms single room or shared room with 2 to 3 roommates. The fees for shared non ac room is 56500 and for ac room it is 62500. Meal of the mess is average.
Admission
I directly apply for the Information Technology branch by visiting the campus by some discussion with the registrar nurool islam. They take the entrance exam the same day and then they proceed with my candidature. I fill up the application form by paying 2300 for the form and after that 8 get the receipt of the application I get library access and dress for academics.
Interview Experience
I faced the written entrance exam which includes the fundamental topics of class 12 ncert for physics, chemistry and mathematics. After the written exam I faced a interview with the hod of the applied science department. After that admission process takes place.
