Remarks

The college is just amazing. Additional facilities like greenery, nearby areas, nice seniors etc. One point I would like to highlight is that the college should regularly update his syllabus.

Entrance Preview

I had given JEE mains and JEE advanced exam.I cleared both my exams with flying colors.I may get admission in an IIT if my rank colud be 3000 less than what i got.but bad luck that i dont get selected for IIT.I was getting admission in NIT jalandhar in chemical and some college in south east side but me and my parents were not ready as it was not that good college it was just average .I was getting chemical in NIT jalandhar but reviews about chemical engineering were not that good and i heard that UICET is best for chemical so i dropped the idea of going to nit jalandhar. Then came jac forms. If i got cse or electronics or elctrical in pec then i can accept pec but i hadnt had Chandigarh quota i dont even get a seat in electrical in pec bit if i had Chandigarh quota i can easily get that. Then option left was UIET before spot round i got IT then we went to PU to get our certificates testified and collect our joining letter which was a very hactic day as we reached at 9 in pu but we got our turn at roung 4 of clock as students were called according to their branches biotech then cse.As i was in it which means almost last means second last before mechanical and i really screwed with collge that day. After spot round i got cse then again same procedure but now one thing was different they uploaded time schedules for various streams so that at pu no such chaos or mess is created again. As i dont know what stream to take i just go priority list of most people..having cse at top then ece and then eee.It was nothing like a passion to do cse or biotech.what stream i will got i will just do it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As i said i am cse student.it is a good course but that does not influences me much.Practical learning is just average having labs once a week.I heard about a research initiatives of something like 3D in which you have to make a 3D model of something as i was told their was a case in pgi regarding some brain bone missing or some other part they create a model of that fitting that person and then doctor created that part and fit that.

Internships Opportunities

No college did not provide any internship. You have to do it on your own.But students are doing really well in internships some students are working in gsoc google summer of code in which u have to work for 3 months and u are paid 3. lakh but this year its reduced to 1 lakh i dont remember exact figures.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement secenrio is good their are good companies coming like infosys for mass recruitment having average package of 3.25 lakh per year and then jugnoo ,mahindra and mahindra these are some big companies this year i think highest package is 18 lakh per year which is quite good.

College Events

4

Many techinal and cultural fests organisef like one of most famous events of uiet effi cars..students from not only different colleges but also from different states come to part in it.and also having main fest.different programs are organised by different commities like edc bpc utechnos etv

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is PU fees are bit higher as given a thought of government college.having 75000 per year paid 2 time first time 45000 and then 30000 and 2500 exam fees to be paid two times a year which are increased every year.Their were many strikes against fee hike somewhere successful some were not .

Hostel Facilities

4.5

It is a very big achievement to get a hostel in pu.only few students can get hostel all others have to reside in pg which are private which them almoat 10000 per month even more than what theu are paying to college as tuition fees. Hostel rent is as low as no one can think of. Just 500 per month for general.i think its half for sc obc and st or even it can be free for them.astonished yaa its just right only 500 +your meal.meal cost is almost 30 rs per meal.it gets added to your account when u have your meal.canteen and messs are good canteens have almost a everything.rooms are for two but u have share it with a 3rd person but with your wish .rooms consists of 2 beds 2 study tables and chairs 2 almirahs and after all this some tiny space in room to move around.newly built hostels are very much better than old ones.new ones are beautifully built rooms are even more sapcious not that much having beautiful gardens at opening

Exam Structure

In first year it was very light year and their was not much stress bit in2nd year it looks like a mess having classes regularly from 9 to 5 all days.having just one break in between.viva to be taken by teacher in every lab and worse having tutorial and lab together making it a long lecture of 4 hours just sitting a dead body in a chair.at the end of day it feels like why i am coming to college.i just wanna give up but then u realise u have a college tomorrow and u have to complete the assignments and practicals and u have to also prepare for viva and u have to leave that thoughts behind.last one month of sem is worst first having minor 2 and then final practical and then finals in just 20 days .20 days are like a war which u have to complete and u dont have even time to breathe or think what the hell is happening

Faculty

4

Some teachers are good some are very good and some are worst which dont know even their subject..just come copy some things on board from book and then just repeat them or some are even worse saying i am giving u topics read them urself. Some are good having knowledge and know how to teach and keep an eye on students performance.Once a while some teachers interacts with you or some even tell you their stories everyday in class.
