The reason for choosing this course is that it has a bright future ahead for students who study well. This college offers good placements for cse branch students which can be helpful and boost up the career of the student. The faculty here is pretty good with highly experienced teaching staff. Each subject has a different teacher for every subject present. The teaching method used here is both theoretical and practical where students can learn a lot from the students. Most of the teaching staff have higher education like PhD who have good grip on the subject. Every month, there is an internal test for 2 months and after one more month the final exams start with practical being before the theory exam. The examination has a high pass percentage and is not very difficult to pass as this college is affiliated with vtu

This fees structure here is pretty good and pocket friendly for most of the students The major problem is the increase in the fees every year which may lead to a huge problem in the future. At present the cost might not be high but looking at the trend it might become difficult for the students who plan to join here after several years. There are not any known scholarships offered directly by the college but there are some government scholarships You can get a job on campus with a stipend after the completion of the course but not during the study

The name of the annual fest is kalanjali hosted by susamskruti, a club in smvit college. It was last held in December of 2023 which was a huge event where every college in Karnataka was invited. This event was held on campus grounds. This college has a library with a good variety of books to chose form but a new international Library is being built with all high tech features for the students to study which a large number of books. The classroom has the required amount of seats to accommodate all the students and has a white board for teaching and also a projector in every class to show PPT and explain it to the students. There are many clubs to chose but the most famous ones are dance, cricket and football clubs. There is not much importance in extra curricular activities in this college but it has a huge campus grounds for sports like cricket and football. All the clubs are run by the students studying here.

The admission process although simple was a time taking process which required quite a bit of patience. This college didn't have a wide variety of courses to chose from but had all the important and leading courses of current time. The application form can be found at the college and krishnadevaraya trust near palace ground and the fee depends on the type of admission ie kcet or comedk. This college doesn't provided a lot of reservation benefits but since the college fees isn't very high, students can comfortably join the college irrespective of the background. There are benifits for OBC , sc/st castes which can be availed by the students studying here. The admission process could be cut down to a certain extent so that the students can easily apply for the college.
