MBA at BIBS Kolkata

I wanted to get a deeper knowledge of the finance industry since i passed my calss 12th in commerce that is the reason why i chose MBA in Finance. BIBS has a very efficient team of faculties which make learning easy to understand, the faculty:student ratio is 1:20 which means there is 1 faculty per 20 students which makes it easier to access the faculties. Every faculty is thourougly knowledged on their subject and have deep knowledge on the subjects taught and the teaching methods are very student friendly which makes learning fun for us. The college has a quadmester pattern which means there will be quadmester exams every 3 months and the exam apttern is also tough where the student has to put great efforts to pass the exams.

BIBS also offers internship opportunities to its students.There are multiple companies that come for internships. Also Coal India and Balmer Laurie are offering Internships to the students so that we can also get an expereince os PSU's industry.

BIBS is the only college in Kolkata which starts giving placement training to its students from the first semester due to which the students become eligible for placements from the thirtd semester itself. Many big organizations including the big 4, AMC's, banks and other companies come to the college for placement and offer jobs in various positions. The highest package offered in the year 2023 was around 12 lakhs and the lowest package was 5 lakhs. Almost everyone gets placed during the placement season. BIBS registered 100% placements in 2023. I also plan to get placed in a good company from the college after completing my course.

The fees charged by BIBS is fairly low considering the fees charged bysimilar colleges in kolkata, also the cost to study is not so high which makes it affordable for every student. No other fees is charged apart from the college fees by the students.

BIBS conducts annual fest every year in the months of January or February. The college also provides the notes and books for the course. There is no need to purchase book externally. The calssrooms are equipped with digital boards and all the sessions are conducted by presentations which helps us to get comfortable to presentation learning. also there are power sockets beside each bench to coonect the devices and wifi is avalable all the time. Also a number of sports activities are also conducted by the college and management related games are conducted to enhance our team spirit and manangement understading.

BIBS considers all MBA entrance exam scores and the form fillup starts just after the results are out. The application form is available on the college website bibs.co.in. Also the form can bee filled up bys visiting the college. The form fillup is followed by a PI round. If a candidate clears the PI round he/she is sent a confirmation letter from the college. Other details such as the courses offered and fee structure are avaliable on the college website itself, also the fee structrure is sent with the bonafide letter. The college also helps in avaling bank loan. the application process followed is very smooth and does not need any changes as for now.

I had to go through an interview process for admission in the college. The questions are asked as per the course applied by the student to check the knowledge of the student on the subject and the communication skills. The admission process starts by filling up of the application form online or on the college desk followed by a PI session. those whi clear the PI are sent the admission letter along with the fee structure. I had already prepared for the MBA entrance exams where i also got some mock PI sessions which prepared me for the interview.
