Course Curriculum Overview
BA. Mass communication and journalism department in Sister Nivedita University is the most privileged one as it has AC classrooms, Newsroom, PCR room, Radio room and latest technology computers. Our professor are very intellectual and skilled. They thought us not only from the books available but also from their experiences as they had also worked as professional reporter, anchor and PCR controllers. Some are PhD holders and few are still pursuing. We had more practical classes where we were thought how to handle camera, PCR and other technologies. We had exams very often. It helped us learning more and score good In semesters. Questions were mostly direct and were asked to be explained through examples.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission fees is Rs. 34,000/- First semester fees is Rs. 28,000/- Total is Rs. 62,000/- Per semester fees is Rs. 28,000/-. Scholarship are based on the annual performance of the student. Placement is still going on.
Campus Life
Sister Nivedita University has a beautiful campuse infrastructure. We have all the events performed either inside the seminar hall or amphitheatre. There are few clubs like singing, dancing and drama. Sister Nivedita University has its own news application called SNU Chronicle which was made by the students of mass communication and journalism and is still run by them. Other department's students also do internship here.
Admission
I graduated from Sister Nivedita University this year (2023). I pursued BA. Mass communication and journalism there which is a 3 years course. Admission form is to be filled directly from the college's admission cell office. No entrance exams. Minimum 50 percentage should be scored by the student in their boards examination. For OBC, S.T, S.C. and other 40 percentage is required. Admission fees =Rs. 34,000/- First sem fees =+Rs. 28,000/- Total = Rs. 62,000/- is to be submitted on the day of admission. Keep the receipt carefully as it's to be shown when you submit the semester fees again. Per semester fees is Rs. 28,000/-
