Likes
- Discipline - While some say the college doesn't provide proper college life, I'm okay with it.
- Focus on academics - While colleges are a platform for showing your extracurricular skills, the main aim of average student is to get a decent package and internship so it doesn't bother me as much.
- No ragging - Our college maintain a strict anti ragging policy.
Dislikes
- Some of the teachers of CSE are not properly expericed so they make the subjects they teach harder than they are.
- Hostels can be taken for first year only.
- Overrating of attendance - College asks us to maintain atleast 75% attendance.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chose this course because it was the best available option for my JEE MAINS Score. Also I am a resident of Bhopal so it too tipped my choice in favour of this college. The student teacher ratio is 1:70 in classrooms but might be lower considering total number of faculty members of the school. Most faculty are senior and experienced but few teachers for important subjects like maths have no previous teaching experience so it makes understanding topics a bit hard. Term exams were balanced in terms of difficulty but the schedule timings were too hectic. For Mid Sems there were 5 (main subjects) exams in the span of 2 days. For endsems though the schedule has enough gaps.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement 7th semester onwards. Companies like Cisco, VMWARE, Microsoft and TCS recruit from our campus. Upwards of 2000 offers are made. Highest package offered are around 44 LPA Average packages range from 4 tO 4.5 LPA. After getting the degree I plan on working some good tech job for about 4 years before taking a career break to study further.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees does hike considerably over the years. The cost to study is also not very affordable. Considering I am a fresher I have not got any scholarship yet. From notices for seniors I have learnt that I am eligible for 'OBC scholarship'. Haven't got any financial assistance or job with stipend as of yet.
Campus Life
College started 3 months ago but there haven't been any fests for first year students. Most books available in college library are very course and syllabus oriented. The classroom are pretty basic, having a projector in each class and other basic amenities. Sports and extracurricular activities happen but are limited on campus. There are some groups and clubs by students for students but they are only allowed to be taken part in 2nd year onwards.
Admission
Eligible through JEE MAINS Score. MPDTE councelling through JEE MAINS Score. I got 89 percentile. Need the college allotment letter from MPDTE for going to the college and confirming your seat. OBC quota benifit. Admission process was alright but a bit crowded.
