Awesome college for engineering

I can say it is best option for Engineering in India. Infrastructure of college is awesome. It have Airstrip as well as wind tunnel facility for tasting of planes helicopter and airfoil.

JEE - main followed by JEE - advance ,one of the well known exam in India. As I decided to do engineering then it's always better if you choose best college in that field, and IIT's are best option. There is lot of competition for this exam ,but hard work and some luck can always give what you want. There is simple procedure JEE main if qualified then JEE advance and then online counselling through josaa portal followed by verification through allotted centre. All process is smoothly conducted and all information are easily available.

I am under aerospace department, courses basically focus on basics of all field of department. Good course structure as it covers first basics and followed by advance courses and there is too much freedom regarding course selection you can select any department course in elective courses as well as you can branch change after 2nd as well as 3rd and 4th semester. That I think only in our college. And also u can pursue double major in one extra year or minor in any department within same duration. There is lots of research work going on basically IIT Kanpur was known for research only. And students are highly involved in these through directly or through surge or club projects.

There is two different committee SIP and SPO which insure internship. SIP mainly concern with internship in startups, while SPO with company and industries. startups have avg 20,000 INR monthly stipend . while company have avg. around 50,000 monthly. highest goes upto 5 lac monthly. it is nice experience , many get PPOs also during their internship.

All average student get placed in good companies. Major branches like CSE, MTH, EE have nearly 100% placement record. and other have good placement record in non-core sectors, like finance and consultancy. avg package for college is around 8 lac per annum.

Antaragni- cultural event, have budget around 1.8 crore, managed wholely through student community. Udgosh - sports fest , more than 150 college paticipate in this event. Techkriti - one of the biggest technical event in North India. all are organized by students community only.

Regular academic fee is 110,000 INR per semester. But there is fee waiver scheme based on economical condition of student. as family income below 1lac INR have total fee waiver and whose between 1 to 5 lac ⅔ fee waiver scheme. As well as there is too many scholarship available so fee are affordable by all.

There is many Scholarship but Major are MCM and FBM . MCM include tuition fee and pocket allowance of 11,000 INR yearly. FBM include tuition fee as well as basic mess bill and pocket allowance. loan is easily available through campus SBI or union bank.

It is best in terms of Extracurricular there is nice grounds, clubs, hobby group, which take care for the same. and competition gives platform to show talent.

Hostels are awesome there is shared room in first year. And optional share or single room for rest.food was ediable and nutrient.PGs have different hostel. And hostels are not charged for semester , and mess bill is nearly 2,500 INR monthly including electricity.

There is outreach cell which manage contact with alumni. culture of IITK is such that many seniors are associated with college in some sense after too many years also.

Here beside mid sem and end sem exam there is surprise and announced quizzes which helps us to prepare better for exams , and time table is designed in such a way so no one get tired with schedule .so overall it's chill.

As it is well known IIT Kanpur has most toughest faculty selection procedure. So faculty are really awesome in there respective field. They are doing great job in teaching as well as on there research work. As in our college any course have multiple prof and tutor , beside classes and tutorials we also have discussion hour with prof and professor are really highly passionated about there field. So overall they try to give there best . and as they are highly qualified so,it's really awesome classes.
