Remarks

I consider those two years of my MBA as one of the best phases of my life lived till date. I made lasting friends, i explored myself and understood my strengths , i took steps for my growth and personality development and most importantly, i went out of my comfort zone again and again for obtaining the required results. My college is excellent in terms of the syllabus, faculty and organizing of events. It needs to enlarge its placement scenario for reaping more benefits.

Entrance Preview

I took the RMAT exam and secured a good rank(183) all over Rajasthan. This was the first step towards those two golden years of my life. I had no idea about the U turn i was going to face in the coming time. I left my M.Sc. degree (in statistics) to pursue MBA from this college as it is a reputed college and i wanted to take this opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was fantastic and the classes improved my personality to an extent i had never imagined. I could do things i never thought i could do (like giving presentations, speaking in front of a crowd with confidence, sing and dance on stage in cultural events and lead a team in organizing an event). Everything i learned was based on practical learning only. I strongly felt of electing HR as my major but I had to choose between marketing and finance and i put my finger on the marketing option as it called for good communication skills and i considered myself at par with them. HR was not provided as an option since there were not enough candidates who opted for it.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was out of realm for my college. there was no facility of stipend. The reason for this was that a majority of batches passed before us never took any initiative in this aspect so this facility was never given any importance. After all, initiative is the first step towards achieving any result.

Placement Experience

2

The third semester was like a game changer. Companies started visiting the campus for selecting viable humans among the non viable ones. I even noticed a bhojpuri film company that visited our college and i wondered whether it had come for employing actors or producers? Ansal infrastructure, IDBI bank, ICICI bank , Indusind Bank and a local software company were a few options that i remember. The average package was 2.5 lacs per year. The problem was not with the package. You can even start with 10000 Rs. a month if the job is suitable according to your skills. As they say "your first job never decides your future", so many students were placed in these institutions and they felt safer as compared to other.

College Events

5

A majority of events were cultural. If we talk about technical and managerial fests, well, they were limited to lectures given by qualified and experienced personnel in different fields. talking about footfall, it was always higher in a cultural fest in which other colleges came to participate. ( maybe around 500) contribution of the college was limited in terms of budget but we were provided resources and contacts for making necessary arrangements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college, the fee was affordable (45000 INR per year).Well, the fee was in alliance with the facilities provided to us so it did not put much load on our parents pockets.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no scholarship or loan facility in my college.

Campus Life

3.5

Extra curricular activities were frequently organized and i milked every single opportunity to bring out my talent in the best possible way.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I spent my first semester evenings in the hostel with my batch mates. rooms were provided on a sharing basis ( i guess this was done to teach the students the importance of sharing. After all, we live our whole life on the basis of sharing only) . I learned from others that the food was better outside the hostel. The positive feedback about the hostel was its affordable fee.

Alumni/Alumna

This is a option where my college lacked in proper management. But well, it is the responsibility of students to take initiative. So, we started a group in which we invited the alumni to interact with the students and share their experiences.

Exam Structure

Examinations were always like a philosophical lessons for us. I could see students immersed in their books as if an exam was like a sea in which they had to swim and reach the shore. I could also see the others who took the examinations as if they didn't exist. Many lose weight during the exams while there were many who became fatter. The culture of scoring good marks followed here too.

Faculty

4

Faculty . . Well. . . The personality development classes were a boon to me. they promoted me as a person and as a leader. I went out of my comfort zone in every single class. Classes were highly interactive and so i could speak out (prepared or not) whenever situation called for it. The standard of teaching is often judged by the level of interaction the faculties have with their students. But the interaction needs to be productive too. And this was the case with my classes. Discussions were based on current events and various innovative techniques were also used by the faculty for improving leadership skills of the students. Since the faculty were well qualified, they could explain the concepts in an easy manner.
