Course Curriculum Overview
NIT raipur course curriculum is well maintained and followed. The class strength is 118 for ECE, but 90 students are allotted to one class. 3-4 branches will be under one department head. ECE is under department of chemistry. The teachers are well qualified. The first sem exam was conducted within the first 4 months. The exams were conducted on consecutive days leaving no holidays in between.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available when you are doing your 3rd year mainly. Internship will be offered after many rounds of selection. One of our seniors is doing his internship with over 1 lakh as the stipend
Placement Experience
I am doing my first year. I don't have much idea about placements. But I think from 3rd year, students can sit for the interview. Few famous companies also offered placements to the students before. I am planning on getting a job through on-campus interviews
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees is 62500 for students whose income is above 5lakhs per annum. Fee waiver is available for others. For general and OBC category whose income is less than 1 lakh, a 100% off on the tuition fees can be availed and whose income is between 1lakh-5lakh, 2/3rd fee waiver. For SC and ST, full remission of fee is available.
Campus Life
The campus we have now is not very big but new campus is being constructed The tech fest AVARTAN was conducted on October along with the science exhibition VIGYAAN. The E-summit was conducted on November The Library facilities is very poor since it cannot accommodate many people Classrooms are good Sports events are conducted very well and efficiently NRITYAM club for dance, RAAGA for music, other HINDI club, innovation cells are also present there.
Hostel Facilities
A bed, Table, chair and a shelf is provide by the hostel itself Electricity is available properly The mess menu is also maintained well Registration process for hostels is done after the admission process. This will not take much time The hostel availability is very less. For first years,one hostel and for the other students another 2 hostels are available which can accommodate only less students
Admission
For electronics and communication engineering,NIT Raipur, the closing rank (jee main 2023) for general, female, other state category was around 29k. For jee mains exam, we apply through the nta official website by paying examination fees of 800 rs for general female candidates and 1000 for male.
