A journey worth sharing

4 years in this college might be more than enough to explore the institutional things. All over experiences come from your friend circle and social gatherings. Academical pressure is low compared to other colleges.

I wrote JEE-MAINS 2016, got a rank around 1.2 lakhs, filled a form of this college online and waited for counselling and the process went and I got ECE in JIIT-128.The university is good and has a strong alumni.

ECE in JIIT is not worth to study. There are very few events or workshops for core electronics part. However the institution is prone to make good Computer Science lads. Computer science in JIIT has more opportunities than Electronics. The courses for CS students are optional other than electives but for electronics has predefined courses only.

Internship is not provided by college but it could be persuaded with the guidance of professors and your skills by applying into different companies. Internship at Hackerrank is very famous among students.

Highest package was offered from Amazon of 27 lakhs p.a. (including stocks) in which 9 students were palced this year. Thereafter companies Kuliza, Deloitte, coding blocks, SAP labs, Belzabar software, Future First offer CTC from 6-9 lakhs p.a. and many other companies offer <6 lpa in which many students got placed.

There are two fests i.e. one for JIIT-62 (Impressions) and JIIT-128 (Converge). Both are organized in their respective campus. College authorities contribute for the fest and we have both technical and cultural fests which attracted many sponsors in Delhi NCR. From food to music and games you will enjoy a lot some fancy arts everywhere in the campus are created by students. It is fun to attend as well as organize this fest.

JEE-MAINS rank holder under 1000 will get free education here. Other than that if your parents' income is 1.5 lacs or less than you might get some scholarship according to your Class 10th (15%), 12th (35%), and B.Tech 1st Sem (50%).

We have many societies like Art, fashion, dance, Music, Robotics, Programming, sports, web designing, Photography etc. for extracurricular. These are formed by different groups of students. Anyone who wants to be a part of it is auditioned first. Room space provided for these societies is good enough.

Hostel is pretty good. All rooms are air conditioned with central cooling system. You got a wardrobe, a study table a chair, luggage space, bed etc. The food is the best thing in hostel. Breakfast can't be better anywhere. Quality of food is good. Hostel also has laundry included.

We have a strong alumni network. Every year alumni of this college meet at JIIT and celebrate their each other's success. They put believe in their college and motivate or guide their juniors.

Exams in JIIT will sometimes make you frustrated or mainly it depends on a student. We have 2 minors and 1 major exam. All of their marks are included, a total of 75 is your marks and rest 25 is Teachers Assessment (which I still didn't get how they judge our marks). Exams are held after 30-45 days in between you have your lab tests, assignments etc. Exams are ot too frequent i.e. you are free enough to learn something other than the courses.

Teachers are well qualified but lack experience. Electronics faculty has a few good teachers which are interactive and help students in their projects but some doesn't know how to handle a class and couldn't explain the topic properly. Teachers are more prone to teach what will come in the examination. Computer Science faculty is still has more experienced and interactive professors. There are a few teachers who helps the different societies made by students ( a very few ). Teachers at JIIT-128 do not give step marks in exam however in JIIT-62 teachers are good in this game. This make a lot of difference in grades when compared to both sectors.
