Remarks

The college has been a lot better than the last year. Ragging has completely vanished. Seniors are really helpful and friendly. There are an awesome Canteen and a Student Centre where we can get anything even Brownie Icecreams, Subs, pizza and all. The sports complex is also very large. It is a must visit even if you are not a student.

Entrance Preview

Admission is based on JEE Mains rank and Joint Admissions Chandigarh. It comes second in terms of high cut-off in this region. No quota based on Local. I am currently doing ECE and simply chose it on basis of my rank. Didn't know anything about it.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is well balanced. It has Communication skills and Ethics classes included in curriculum as well. Everyday, there is a 3Hour practical. Different subject each day ofcourse. Also, workshops are in curriculum to teach basics of Forging, Welding, Carpentry etc.

Internships Opportunities

They do provide internships but are not as good as you may get on searching yourself. So it is recommended to use some approach and find a good one instead. I currently have no experience in internship but seniors say its great atmosphere.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is very nominal being a Government Institute. 1 SEM is 48k. Second is 32k. And from 2nd Year, fees becomes much more less.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
