ZHCET -A truly underrated institute with a lovely culture

We have 2 midsems (25 marks each)and the best of two is taken into consideration.1 end sem(60marks) and the rest 15 marks for internal assessment.The curriculum is good not very heavy .Students get enough time to work on their skills.Faculty is amazing for electronics , maths, physics etc.with really experienced teachers ,most of them hold phds from prestigious institutes of our country but there are some inexperienced ones too.In first sem we had applied physics,applied maths, electronics, mechanics and english. With mechanics being the most difficult of all of them.Papers were moderate not very easy but one could score 70+ out of 100 just by studying a week before.The grading system has become tougher from this year. A+:85+marks A:75+ B:65+ one needs to get A in most subjects to get 9+ cpi Attendance criteria : 75% in all subjects but for 1st sem students there is some leniency.

Students get internship opportunities in codsoft, hackerrank, microsoft, IITR SPARK, skolar, iTribe, amazon, Facebook and many more.college offers opportunities through internshala also.The students who are active definitely get an internship in our college.

Students become eligible for campus placements by the end of third year.we geat good packages like 27 lpa , 15-16lpa for some students but most of the companies give around 5lpa packages.on campus highest package go around 32lpa and average was around 9.5 last year. But one can apply off campus and get huge packages like one got 1.23 crore package in amazon last year in london. students get many opportunities for internships in companis like hackerrank, microsoft.one student from my hostel got internship in america. Many students go for masters in foreign countries. Apart from this a large number of psu's came for campus placements.Many students score great in gate, CAT and upsc too.Nearly 80%+ students get placed.

Fee is on a lower side 21,165 only for first year and then it gets decreasing year for all old branches like cse,ece,mech...For newer branches like Ai,petro,automobile the fee is 66000/yr .we have numerous scholarships like reliance,ONGC,uttar pradesh scholarship,bharat seva...and many more.

Life is amazing at amu.No restrictions over hostel timings.you can go wherever you want.explore the campus's scenic beauty which is spread over 1100+ acres of area(whole university including medical,arts,other departments).lots of clubs like ACM, GDSC, Amu Robo club, SAE, AUV, codechef, AMUdrama club,CEC, HORSE RIDING CLUB, skating club,ice Hockey, cricket, basketball.A website for students convenience in studies called Amupedia made by a student of the college itself.Many projects like a formula racing car and environment friendly vehicle are being developed. The college won many accolades in various competition across the globe.amu has the best campus facilities at very low cost.

In 1st year it is very difficult to get a room as most of the students live in annexe-usually having 8 to 10beds in one room(some have 4 beds too) but from second year students can easily get a four seater room.But apart from this every student gets a hall alloted and can use all the facilites of the hall like common room,bathroom , mess etc. regardless of being alloted in an annexe(inside the hall only).As one gets senior he may get 2 seater or even 1 seater room.the hostels are well equipped with all the facilities like wifi, 24 hour water supply, geyser, indian toilets only,.The infrastructure is old but one can get used to it since the rooms are quite large with tables chairs etc.NT hall is much better than SU hall when it comes to infrastructure and facilities.But SU hall has large size.one can alse get a pg in zakaria for ariund 6000rs a month.

1.We have to fill an entrance examination(AMUEEE) form which came in the month of march this year. The form fee is very nominal 650 rupees. 2.eligibility for the entrance exam is that: a)candidates should have scored at least 50%in pcm in class 12th. b)upper age limit is 24 years c)for candidates from diploma the criteria is min 50% score The cutoff was on a lower side in 2023 since the paper was quite hard as compared to the previous years.For computer science it was above 60 marks out of 150.For artificial intelligence above 50 marks.At 53 marks you could have got a rank of 157-159.But there were lesser seats so during counselling the rank cutoff was very high as the computer engineering closed at 120 in last round after applying all category.And for general less than rank 100 for cse.for ai and ece the cutoff was under 250 rank.But a lot of people from waiting list got admission in lower branches since there were 10 rounds of counselling this year.3 major rounds and 7 mop ups.
