the college environment is okay and i have made good friends that makes college a fun place to be in with loads and loads of memories

Entrance Preview

Admission was dependent of class 12 results an there was no interview session before the admission to the college. i was interested in accounts and thus chose B.com

Course Curriculum Overview

i am presently doing B.com Hons and i am in my second years at the moment. recently IT practicals have been initiated in the college to focus more on the practical knowledge

Internships Opportunities

sorry to say but the college does not provide any internship facilities and thus we do not have any experience about the internship course. however the administration looks forward to get one

the placement scenario is okay and 75% students end up having a good placement . 3.5 lacs is the average package of a B.com hons student. getting 30k per month is good for a start.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure is well organized. the college charges around 50k per year and thus 1.5L for the entire course. its quiet affordable

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Good for studying but should improve for recruitment

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
