Remarks
The college management fees is very very high, but after first year from second year we have AC classrooms for all the semester students, The canteen is good, but the management will not allow the students to go out of the college gate safeguarding the security of the students. overall it’s a good and a decent college.
Entrance Preview
Yes I wrote Common entrance test [CET] which is conducted by karnataka examinations authority and I got an ranking around 60,000. Due to my ranking I did not get this college, so I took a seat through management quota, no there was no interview process followed for the admission process, I was interested in mechanical so I moved on with this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I chose was very good full of practical things we have lots of mechanical experiments like IC engines, lathe operations and many more it’s pretty much interesting being and working in these labs, there was lots of focus given on the practical learning, yes there are lots of research intiatives undertaken by the department.
Internships Opportunities
College doesn’t provide any sort of internships for the students but the college supports students in getting the internship, I have not attended any of the internships till date, the internships usually start for the students from 3rd year so I am looking forward to do the internship in a good company, I don’t know anything about stipend amount.
Placement Experience
The placements in MITE is good I cannot say its bad because it literally depends upon us how we are to get ready with this world, they teach us a lots of things including the soft skill before the placements begin, we don’t get mechanical core branches coming for placements, the alpha9, rupay, amazon such IT companies visit the college, the average package varies around 4-6 lakhs not more than this again this depends upon the type of company visiting the campus.
College Events
There are many activities happening in the college yearly once we have fest happening in the college usually in the even semester. The college supports for organizing all the extracurricular activities etc;
Fee Structure And Facilities
I got a seat through the management quota and I paid a fees of 1.5 lakhs per year it was definitely not an affordable one for the students coming from the medium class background like me. Other than this we have to pay the fees for the exam, notes book, record etc; which was again a burden for the parents.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes college provides the scholarships which comes from the government of Karnataka for the minority students.
Campus Life
College is the best in terms of extracurricular, the students get an opportunity to exhibit their talents and their dreams come true in their college life.
Hostel Facilities
No I don’t stay in hostel, I have heard that the college hostel is good with a good food facility also. There are 2,3,4 sharing rooms in which the students can stay in a comfortable manner.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes there is an active alumni network in the college where the passed out students come and visit their college interact with the students, Once in a year we have this programme happening in the college. Yes the alumni contributed to the overall development of the college as well as the students.
Exam Structure
We have a exam pattern of 60- external and 40- internal, the 30 marks three internal is conducted and the bets of two marks are counted for the final evaluation the rest 10 marks is for the behaviour of the students this also includes the project, extra curricular seminars etc ; No the internal exams were not tiring.
Faculty
The faculties are very good with a degree of M.tech (most of them) with a few P.hD holders including the HOD, The faculties were very much interactive with the students and the standard of teaching was also very good.
