Course Curriculum Overview

As I was the student of biology, i was interested in animals so I opted for zoology course. The faculty is very good, the teachers are friendly and cooperative. The teachers are very well trained and the use various methods of teaching. The semesters are of 6 months. The exams are quite tough as the syllabus is vast.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 27000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is approximately 25 -28 thousand. Which is not very high as the course requires multiple labs and practicals. The college sometimes introduce some scholarships accordingly. The jobs are not that often for my course in campus.

Campus Life

The fest of the college is Xavier's fest which is held in month of January every year. There are few clubs also which are present in the college for the student. One is NSS other is Amperian club and Rotract club. Sports includes few indoor like chess ,table tennis and outdoor sports like Basketball, football, cricket, volleyball.

Hostel Facilities

The college has hostels.. But it is only for specific students. So I live near the college which is 5 mins away from the college. The fees of hostel is 7500. Which is quite a bit in terms of its facilities.

Admission

The process was not that tough. After I got my result of 12th exams, I filled the form of St Xavier's college, Ranchi. I got the form online on the website of the college. The procedure was not that complicated. As my grades were good,I was sure that I would get In. The application form was on the website of college which was in detail. It included my personal information, grades of 10th and 12th with photograph of result and signature. Application fees was around 1000 rupees. As I belong to general category there were no reservation benefits. The procedure was bit confusing as the site was not working properly. The website if opened multiple times was lagging. After filling the form I was notified time to time about my forms update. As the year I filled the form, it was covid period, no entrance exams were taken. As my gades were good I got in when the cutoff list came. The results were out after 15-20 days of form submission.

I see a lot of students who struggled in maths, that's why I chose this course. If I talk about real-world examples, from number systems to multiplication, fractions and trigonometry to find the height of pole. Areas of improvement are to relate mathematics with real-world examples, use methods like Vedic mathematics, and also creative, active participation rather than rote memorisation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is itself a very difficult and complicated course , a student has to give his best in order to understand the concepts well . Cirriculum of the college is really nice you will get time to be prepared and prepares you for real-world applications or further academic pursuits like IITJAM BIOTEC , GATB , CUETPG , AIIMS etc . the difficulty level is moderate if the student has prepared well and has clear concept in mind she can do well in exams.

I choose St. Xavier's College college over any other college because of it's name (brand) plus it does regular classes and completes it's syllabus on time compared to other colleges who doesn't provide regular classes and never completes their syllabus never on time is a different matter but the whole syllabus never gets covered and most of it is left out. I am comparing it to the Ranchi College, ranchi which is under Ranchi University name as it never does regular classes and never completes it syllabus, it has no proper faculties for each subject, don't do any other extra curriculum activities hardly ever does any practical classes plus there is no internship opportunities....Read More

The best collage in ranchi

I had applied for the Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi. And i got selected there also but i found st xavier's college ranchi is better then that college as this is autonomous applied new education policy of fourth year graduation. I didn't get rejection as i had filled only this two college in ranchi for bachelor's degree.
