SVNIT Surat College Review in detail.

According to my JEE rank I got this branch(Mechanical engineering)only otherwise I would have choosen computer science or electronics and communication engineering. Faculty to student ration is about 1:40 , which is decent enough. You can easily interact with faculty and doubt are solved by most of them. Teachers are qualified, as it is a National Institute so only qualified teachers are allowed. Teaching method is traditional cum technological , as both blackboard and projector are used for teaching purpose. In span of 4 months we had 2 exams: mid semester exams and end sem exams . The difficulty level was moderate and it was easy to pass (for me).

Placement is average as compared to other colleges. Students are eligible for placement in 7th semester. Almost all majors companies have visited the campus some of them are: Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, De Shaw,Bajaj,J.P.Morgan,L&T, Infosys, TCS , Accenture,Paytm,AxisBank, JSW, adani, reliance, Tata, Godrej, ITC, IBM ICICI Bank and many more. 900 to 1000 offers were made Higest Package of Rs. 44.00 lakhs per annum offered to 1 student by Microsoft. Average package is 8.9 lakhs per annum. About 75% students get placed.

As it is government institute so the fees is reasonable as compared to other engineering colleges. 4 year course can cost you about 6 lakhs . Scholarship opportunities are also provided. 100% tuition fee waiver if you are from Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped category or if your family's annual income is less than 1 lakh. 2/3rd waiver on tution fees if your family's annual income is less 5 lakh. If you don't avail this waiver then you can also apply for other scholarships as well .

Campus life is amazing. We get a 250 acres of campus and campus is located in main city so it is easy to go out for hanging out as well. Campus is well connected to the city, 6kms from Airport and 8kms from railway station , bus service known as BRTS runs throughout the city and provides transportation as cheap cost. Book availability is not that good but about 40 to 50% books can be found in library. We had Kashish Freshers Party. Annual fests: Sparsh is the annual cultural fest , it is also good , you will enjoy it Mindbend is the annual technical fest , it is the largest techno-managerial fest of Gujarat. Classroom are fine , some classes are air conditioned while most of them only equipped with fans. Sports facilities are good you get almost all sports. You get all types of clubs in college .

Hostel and mess facility is one of the best as compared to other NITs. Double seater room , sufficient area. Mess are hygienic and food quality is good and tasty as well.But it is a vegetarian mess, you will not even get eggs Hostel and mess registration is in college website and you can easily do it. It is affordable as well ( as it is a government institute)

For B.Tech Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 with 75% aggregate Qualifying exam: JEE Main, DASA UG I found Jee main application form from jeemain.nta.ac.in website and the information about application dates and fees are provided in website itself After qualifying exam registration process started on Jossa website and Csab website. Their I did the choice filling under several rounds and finally I was allocated a seat in Mechanical engineering in SVNIT Surat.
