Review of Electronics Engineering department, AMU

The Btech Electronics Engineering curriculum is very good if someone wants to persue carrier in Electronics only . The Professors are very talented and are highly educated. Almost every Professor has a very in depth knowledge of their field. The field of electronics is very interesting. In the electroics engineering department, there are around 20 faculty member and the batch is of around 60 students. The teachers put a lot of efforts in teaching. The teachers are very helpful and very good. Btech has 8 semesters and in each semster, midsem exams occur for around 6 days and end sem exams occur for around 15 to 16 days. Passing these semester exams is not very tough if we attend the classes regularly.

Various companies like intel, qualcomm, synopsis, marvel, juniper networks, seimens energy offer internships and they offer roles like graduate engineering trainee. They offer around 25000 to 40000 rupees. Various projects like FPGA projects, PSPICE projects are important and the knowledge of Verilog is very important and its important to learn how to write the test cases of verilog for electronics engineering,

Students become eligible for placements in 7th semester. Companies like Samsung, Juniper Networks, Seimens, Shneider Electric, EIL, Zia Semiconducter, L and T and various startups visit the college for placements. The highest package is around 18 to 19 lacks and is mostly offered by companies like Marvell, EIL . Average package is around 3 to 6 lacks which is offered by Seimens, Zia Semiconductor, L and T and various startups. Nearly 30 to 40 percent students get placement as many students here are interested in higher studies like Masters or Phd. After the degree, I will see what suits me and my career and according to it I will take the actions.

I paid around 20500 rupees at the time of admission which included fees for the 1st whole year. In the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year, the fees was 7810 . There are various scholarships offered which gives a good amount. Students may get ONGC scholarship of rupees 50000 every year. UP Scholarship and Central government Scholarship is also offered.

Here the annual fest is Zarf fest which is conducted in the month of March every year. The Maulana Azad library is very big and it contains almost all the books of GATE and semester exams. And the books of different courses which run in the university. Many classrooms have projectors, Samsung Smart board and AC. There are grounds for almost all the games like horse riding, swimming, skating, volleyball, basketball, cricket, etc. There are various clubs of different departments that carry out extra curricular activities and practicals of various experiments which motivates the students. Some are AMU Roboclub, Pi Club, EDIC club, IEEE Computer Society and many more.

The hostel facility is awesome. The rent for 4 years of Btech is 2000 rupees. The hostel is very big and spacious. It is a complete world in itself. The hostel rooms are big and are either 2, 3 or 4 seater. It has a dining facility which is quite cheap and awesome. They provide good food for the money they charge. The hostel rooms are given with the rule of first come first serve. In the first year of Btech, its tough to get the room but in the second year, almost everyone gets the room in the hostel. The hostel has different gounds for basketball, volleyball, football, badminton and cricket. A common room where a big tv is there to watch matches and snooker and table tennis is also present. The hostel is quite awesome.

Btech is offered after class 12th with minimum percentage of 55% or diploma where only top 3 rankers of diploma directly get admission in Btech. Btech is offered through AMUEEE exam . The exam is conducted usually in the month of May every year. The level of exam is similar to JEE Mains . The admission form is present on the official website of amu controller exams . The fee structure is also present on the controller website . I got advice from my friends to take admission in this college as it is a central university and the fees is also less so any one can easily pay.
