Other curricular activities in college like fests etc.
Environment of the college,garden , maintainance etc
Faculty is quite good and helpful once I was late for my exam due to transportation problem the faculty helped me & understood my problem and I was able to give the exam (only 30-20 minutes was left for the end of the exam)

Dislikes

Providing information or we can say communication between college and students
College is not really strict which maybe a liking point for other but not really for me
Technology Development in the college is slow

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this course because I'm interested in business purposes and marketing. Faculty and student ratio is quite good in this college. The Qualification of the faculty is also good. Everyone have PhD and other degrees like masters in different subjects. Term exams are on time . Difficulty to pass the exams will depend upon how you study.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost of study is quite affordable for a middle class family. The cost is really low . Right now I'm eligible for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum-Means Scholarship. There is no opportunity for campus jobs in this college right now.

Campus Life

Annual fest is generally conducted between January and March. There are lot of books and journals in college's library. Extra curricular activities like drawing competition, sports day, Science exhibition etc. are conducted. There is a social group run by students which helps in harmony between students and also in other benefits of students.

Admission

I didn't took any entrance exam for my admission in this college , I was accepted through my percentage in 12th . At first we have to fill up an application form from the official website of the college,all the information about application form will be given in that site. Yes, there is a reservation benefit. No, I don't need any improvement in the admission process

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
