Hostel menu only consists of vegetables and does not provide fruits

Hot water is not available to us in winter

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electrical engineering due to it's vast diversity. It's a brilliant branch which teaches a lot. The faculty is highly qualified and adjusts very well with the students. They have a very unique way of teaching.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies who choose students for Internships. Big mega giants like google, Microsoft, intel, samsung, sony, graviton, etc , all come to our college. Students can do projects with our professors

Placement Experience

Generally students of 4th year sit in college placements. The package provided to students is very appreciable. The average package this year is 26 lakh. Almost all students get placed. My plans after getting the degree are doing an MBA from abraod

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of studies is around 3 lakh per year. There are a total of 4 years. So about 12 lakh for the full course. There are also many scholarships awarded to students. Like inspire scholarship for BS students. Also financial assistance is provided to those students who have less financial income

Campus Life

IIT kanpur campus life is really very good. The annual fest name is Antragini which is usually conducted in October. The tech fest is Techkriti which is conducted in November. The library is also full of books. The classroom infrastructure is also good. There are also many social groups run by students like Sui Dhaga

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are also appropriate and provide a very good facility. Generally one room consists all required things for 3 students. Mess quality is also very nice. Hostels are highly affordable. Moreover they provide scholarship to students whose family income are less

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

I qualified JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. In order to qualify, we have to get a rank within 10000 out of 12 lakh students. Application process in IIT is done by the Josaa committee. There are mainly total of 16 IITs

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
