- I don't like the grading system. It is quite unfair.
- The rooms are small in hostel which is a little uncomfortable for 3 people

Course Curriculum Overview
I had interest in electrical circuits and machines from childhood and obviously as IITD has its reputation. I am not sure about the exact ratio but probably around 1:50. The faculty are highly qualified and hold immense knowledge about their respective course. The teaching style is a lot different then what we experience during jee prep. the teachers leave more to the students to think and do problem solving themselves. There is a midterm exam and endsem exam and there many quizzes, assignments and lab reports throughout the semester. It is easy to pass the courses but to get a good grade you have to make quite an effort.
Placement Experience
Internship interviews take place after 4tb semester and students do internship after 6th semester in summer break. 1st stage of campussing takes place after 7th semester. As I still in 1st year I don't know the exact details of companies.This year around 88% students got placements through in-campus.I have not made any plans yet.
Fees and Financial Aid
I found the fees to be quite high. The fees of such a prestigious college as IIT where all bright minds of India come should not be so high. The fees is coming closer to a private college. It is quite a toll for middle class families.The Reserved classes do get quite a scholarship.
Campus Life
Annual fest is in October first week and tech fest is in March mid.The library is quite nice and we can find all kind of books.The sports facilities are quite good and there are various cultural groups which students can engage in as per their interests.There are many clubs like sports clubs, music, dance, art, photography, entrepreneurship, debate, quiz,etc.
Hostel Facilities
In room there are 2 almirahs, shelves, tables.Sadly the rooms are quite small in IITD. The food is quite decent and menu is different each day and menu changes slightly every month.Registration for hostel is during the admission process.It is up to us if we want to avail hostel or not. The Mess fees is a little higher than the rest of the IITs.
Admission
I got enrolled to Electrical branch in IITD through JEE Advanced exam 2023. I qualified for jee advanced exam by giving jee mains exam conducted by nta every year.My rank in Jee advanced was 549 and cutoff was around 580 for electrical branch in IITD. JOSAA takes fees of ?40000 for counselling process out of which 36000 are included in institute fees. The counselling process takes place in many rounds(6) and all the dates are shared on the JOSAA site.
