My experience of IIT Delhi

My family wanted me to take it so I took it .the ratio varies from courses to courses like in some there is a faculty over 15-20 students in tutorials and in others there are 1 over 300 in a lecture.faculty is highly qualified and professional and most of them almost all are PhD holders in there department and the teaching method is more like the focus is on how much the students learn by themselves by applying knowledge given in class rather than teaching everything in classes and some professors do provide written notes and some don't. there are two exams in a sem mid terms and end terms in most of courses due to new institute policy to reduce exam stress on students . difficulty varies on professors some make easier exams and some do make them quite hard . Difficulty is also decided through grades which can be relative as well as absolute but these exams are tougher than most of engineering course exams across country.

Internships can be done a many places including Jane Street as well as at many tech giants and growing startups.i not aware about these things a lot still we can learn about various industries and works in those through internships.

Intership can be from any semester but college placement is done in second last sem for 4 th and 5 th year students.many leading companies like Google Amazon Microsoft optiber graviton many consultancy firms visit and around 1000 offers were made . Highest was 2.65 crore and tech and consultancy and finance companies are lead runners. Around seventy percent were placed from those who applied . I have not planned much but might go For upsc

Like I am student from category so tution fee is exempted so mostly hostel and mess fee apart from institute facilities fee is there. Cost will be around 4-5 lakh throughout the degree given that no tution and for others it is 12-13 lakh .I got nothing like that till now in campus.

the annual fest is rendezvous which happens in October & tech fest is tryst which happens in March .many books are available in central library and the amenities of classroom are great like ac classroom,spacious and clean classes , projectors and speakers.sport facilities are top notch like the grounds and equipment .extra curricular includes a great dance club , music society and various societies.most of the clubs and groups are ran by students like bsa , bsp ,bss.

Facilities are fine from toilets and drinking water and stuff. Meal is ok sometimes and sometimes it sucks .hostels are allotted in beginning of the program like my hostel is zanskar and rent is around 16000.

Firstly I gave jee mains exam and scored 98.35 percentile and was eligible to give jee advanced which I gave and scored 169 and got a rank 3362 and took admission in iit delhi civil department despite getting reservation benefits i didn't used it because I wanted to take civil . Application could be found on josaa website and registered through there only .I want the process to be less hectic for students.
