Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it gave me a fair opportunity between private and government jobs. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:15. Faculties at IITH are well-qualified, and most of them have done their Ph. D.s from overseas universities. Teaching methods are also good enough. Exams were timed from 1 hour to 2 hours. Difficulty level is good enough to challenge an IIT student.
Internships Opportunities
Students are eligible for internships after the second year. Many companies offer internships in different domains. Some internships may have additional requirements like a minimum CGPA or specific skillset.
Placement Experience
In-campus placements are offered in IITH. Students become eligible for placements after the third year. Approx 350 companies visit IITH for placements. Around 60 lacs is the highest and the average is around 22 lacs. Approx 80% of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees are around 1.1 lacs for one semester, and hostel fees including mess are approx 43000 for one semester. Overall fees for a year are around 3 lacs. The fee hike policy could affect the cost of study for some students but it could be managed by scholarships. Merit-based scholarships and government scholarships are been offered.
Campus Life
Campus life is very nice because there are a lot of things to do. There are many clubs in IITH. The infrastructure is outstanding. Elan is the annual fest and Vision is the tech fest both are held in February. Sports facilities are excellent. IITH has a good library
Hostel Facilities
In the first year students are provided with double sharing rooms, after that, you get your room. Mess is nice and the menu consists of varied items. The registration process is very easy, you need to report to the hostel office.
Admission
The admission process at IITH was smooth. It was conducted through online portal. If you score around 120 to 130 you can easily opt this course. You can application form, application fees and application dates on IIT Hyderabad on their official website. Admission seems to be good enough, there is no need for much improvement.
