Remarks

My overall experience in the college was average. The 100 years old legacy of the university is what making students still take admission in the university. The social life and extracurriculars are good here. It is ragging-free and students are secured inside the campus. Rest apart from this it's better for me to say no remarks because its not even worth it.

Entrance Preview

I wrote the entrance exam for BSc (Hons). My name came in the distance quota list and I got admission through that. There wasn't any interviews, just the entrance exam.A number of certificates were required to be submitted after qualifying for the entrance examination. I was fascinated by space and stars and it thus made me chose Physics.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course was excelled as it was a Honours degree course. It is very attractive and designed in a way that students can get perfection in it and can shape their future accordingly. Each semester is designed in a way that first the basics are sorted and then the advance things are taught. The focus on practical learning was unfortunately comparatively less. There are a lot of research initiatives taken by the institution in collaboration with Indian as well as foreign universities. The first year has English, Urdu, Theology as the Foundation papers and the later years include the subjects of the chosen stream.

Internships Opportunities

Not every department is provided with internships in the college. My department was not one of them. I was able to grab an internship from the college with a stipend of 7K for a month. The internship was quite good. We used to work on live projects and also got ourselves involved in the laboratory exercises.

Placement Experience

2

College provides enough opportunities to students for getting placed but as being a graduate there are not many jobs available for freshers. Companies like Wipro provide a 13.5k monthly stipend and initial salary of 16k for M. tech graduates. Only about 30-50% of students who give interviews gets selected. At the end, I would say that placements records are not too good so far.

College Events

3

My university has a separate drama club, music club and literary club apart from other technical hubs. Yearly fests are held in every college in the university. Around 75% of the entire college always become a part of the university fest. Various other events organized are Alumni meet, singing sessions, Sir Syed day, short movies regularly on a periodic basis.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This university is a central university and hence the fee structure was quite subsidized and affordable. It is defined as Rs 8000 for the first year and around Rs 5000 for further years. The hostel fees were approximately Rs 1200 per month without any hidden charges. There are huge grants being received by UGC also.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a central scholarship along with the state scholarship provided to the students with the help of the university. I wasn't bright enough to get one. Also, our University provides scholarships for the higher studies in the country as well as abroad. There was no help from college regarding loan according to what i know.

Campus Life

4

Our College is excellent in terms of extracurricular. There are a lot of opportunities to explore the hidden talents whether it is singing, dancing, acting, drama or sports activities. The facilities provided are very good. But its promotion was so bad because almost none of the teaching faculty promoted extracurricular in the university.

Hostel Facilities

1

Yes, I am a hosteller throughout the college life. Fees for the university is just Rs 1200 including mess facility which is very minimal. The hostel facilities and mess food are rated below average as per the taste but according to the meals it offers and price it takes, its okay to adjust. There were dormitories as well as single occupancy rooms in the hostel. There are no PGs available.

Alumni/Alumna

All of the seniors were very humble and generous towards juniors. They are the one who told us about the traditions of the college and its culture. Yes, there are plans for expanding the alumni platform and I think it will become active this year. There are tremendous contributions by the alumni network for the welfare of the students and university. We have and we all are still connected with each other through our alumni website and all of them are ready to help if required.

Exam Structure

Exams are held twice in a year. Other than that, we had sessionals. The system is changed recently to Chronic Based Credit System in which there is a 30 marks mid-semester exam, sessional exams of 10 marks and an end semester exam of 60 marks. Overall, it was never a chill culture. In the end, the only thought was how to survive the next day,

Faculty

3

One thing which is really special about this college is the level and dedication of teachers towards the students. They are highly qualified lecturers and professors who are experts in their subject field of teaching and in fact, most of them have published their own books in their specific subjects. But I believe their standard can increase as most of the faculty are from the university itself hence avoiding the students of outside exposure. The level of interaction was normal and I believe they can interact more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me you should choose Brahmanand College but as I wanted more practicals then theory work but it is not like that here because you get more time to study and practicals were less .Exams' timings were sometimes morning, afternoon so you will have to manage yourself accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate the curriculum 4/5. Topics like programing and data structures are super relevant.it prepares us for tech roles, but could include more hands on projects and industry tools. More focus on emerging tech like Ai /ML would be awesome. Exams are semester wise and okay.areas for improvement: internships, coding challenges, and guest lectures from pros. Solid foundation overall !

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the faculty teachers and all the staff was very good and the faculty teachers of the science were very fabulous in education causes me to choose this course... The curriculum here was in terms of social interaction was ok but it was not that good for the future real world academic pursuits as their were not that much activities for the social appearance... In terms of course curriculum and teaching method this college doesn't need much improvements because it is much better according to teaching method , as the teachers were good in terms of teaching... The timing and frequency was having much gap between one semester exam and the other semester exam , so there were not much difficulty in giving exams according to my perspective...
