Course Curriculum Overview
I can confidently say that the course curriculum for B.Tech (EEE) is well-structured and comprehensive. The faculty members are highly experienced and knowledgeable in their respective fields, making them excellent teachers. The faculty-student ratio is decent, allowing for personalized attention and interaction. One of the standout aspects of our college is the practical-based learning, which helps us apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems. I chose this course because of my interest in electrical and electronics engineering, and the college has exceeded my expectations. The faculty's hands-on approach to teaching and their willingness to help has made learning a pleasure. The college also provides ample opportunities for internships, which have helped me gain valuable industry experience.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is around INR 75 thosand per annum. The college offers various scholarships, financial assistance, and campus jobs to help students fund their education. The college has a fee hike policy, and the cost of studying here is slightly higher than other colleges in the area. Various scholarships available include the Pragati Scholarship, which is awarded based on merit, and the Pragati-Rajiv Gandhi Engineers' Scholarship, which is awarded to students from economically weaker sections. The college also offers financial assistance to students, and many students work on campus to earn a stipend.
Campus Life
Life at my collage is excellent! The social life is vibrant, with several clubs and organizations charting a variety of interests. The annual fest, 'Synergy', and tech fest, 'ElectroSpectrum', are highlights of the academic year, showcasing the technical and creative prowess of students. The library boasts an impressive collection of books and journals, and the classrooms are well-equipped with modern amenities. Sports and extracurricular activities are thriving, with various opportunities for students to engage in their passions. However, there have been instances of infrastructure issues, such as occasional power outages. Overall, a great place to learn and grow!
Admission
The admission process at Pragati Engineering College for B.Tech in EEE was streamlined. I had to secure a minimum of 50% in my 10+2 exams and then appear for the AP EAMCET exam. You can find the application form on the official college website, with a nominal fee and dates usually announced prior to the commencement of the academic year. Regarding reservations, the benefits were available as per the state government norms and were clearly stated in the admission brochure. One suggested improvement is to make the cut-off marks for entrance exams available online post-results for transparency.
