Got admitted to this college through CET quota of Karnataka. I had got a rank of 10,561 in Karnataka common entrance test held by govt of Karnataka. I chose this college for the reason that I could not get any better college for my given rank and also due to proximity from my house. After the CET counselling, I was alloyed electronics and communication engineering at this college. The admission process was smooth and simple.Note: CET rank is calculated on basis of +2 marks and your performance in entrance test.

The curriculum of this college is governed by Vishweshwaraya Technological University, Belgaum. As far as the curriculum of electronics and communications is concerned ,it is well set with modern approaches and techniques used in today's industries and one can be satisfactory with the quality of syllabus if not very good.

No formal internship is offered through college. If a student is interested, he/she has to approach the companies independently.(prefrteably during vacations)

The placement offers that you get in this college are in no way comparable to the ones you get in reputed institutes. A handful of companies visit the college and the students are left with no choice than to prepare well and give their best to compete among their peers. A aggregate of about 65% is recommended to qualify for the placements.

Fest's and technical events are generally held in even semesters. Around 5-7 technical events and a cultural event called 'Sambhrama' is held every year. Students from other regional colleges do participate in technical events which basically consists of tech quiz, coding contents, paper presentations and workshops for the it/Cs/EC/ee branches. The participation from other colleges is minimal.The students of our institute participate actively.The cultural events boasts of dance competitions, singing, cooking, clay modelling, photography and other various contests.

The fee structure for a student entering through CET quota is fixed by the government and varies every year. You have to shell out 50k per year(for four years) if admitted through CET quota. If the admission is done through management quota, the feel is about 1lakh per annum and varies slightly for different branches as per the demand. The fee can be paid in two installements.One can also apply for various loans and scholarships if applicable.

No scholarships or loans are offered by college. Govt of Karnataka offers many scholarships for underprivileged students and backward class students.

The culture and exposure to parties and cultural get togethers is very limited. The gender ratio varies from department to department. The boys ratio is very high in mech branch and opposite is the case in ISE/cse/ece branches. Although there isn't any discrimination on basis of race,gender or caste, the interaction between opposite sex students ia very limited due to conservative nature of the city and teachers.The cultural, economical and ethnic status of the college is mirrored by respective statsuses of the city.The town isnt hughely developed or is limited in terms of economic and industrial developement. A student fron a well-off family or one from metro cities would feel trapped in the beginning but gets adjusted as time goes on. Inspire of all this, the people of this place are humble,honest and welcoming. You will get some true friends for life for sure. The political status isn't very good which is reflected in the quality of roads and basic amenities available in the town. The town is now moving forward with little footsteps and hopefully gets better in coming years.

Alumni and senior students of the college are very helpful in academics and other areas. The guidance is very valuable. There isn't any form of ragging or abusive environment that I have witnessed in 3.5 years of my college life. Alumni meets are held once every year.

The exam timetable is fixed by the university and is the same for about 300 colleges which are affiliated to vtu. The timings are pretty flexible with reasonable gaps for both the theory and practical examinations.

The faculty, there are well experienced teachers who have done masters degree in various fields of electronics and communications. It is also very supportive if the student wants to pursue side projects during mid-semesters and helpful. There aren't excel
