Remarks

Telling about this university, obviously it is nice but only in academics side. Regarding other fields I will say the management should support us

Entrance Preview

I appeared for the university's polytechnic entrance examination conducted every year.I cleared the exam and got a seat in civil department. There was a counselling session and brief talk with concerned personnel

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is excellent. The university has set everything on just as easy way as possible. Practical learning is extremely supported here as the field work is too much in our department

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not provided by our college at all. Last time I tried in many companies outside but they asked for more qualifications and rejected my application

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are there with many companies but I am sure about their names. According to my seniors there was around 65% placement last year

College Events

Events are not organized much often but once they do it is grand.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is affordable. For each year I pay around 30000/- including my tuition fee as I have got a scholarship here on my entrance exam score basis.

Scholarships are provided to those who have good score in their semesters and also to those who scored good in entrance exams

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities are hardly any. I had not seen any till date

Hostel facilities are good. It is disciplined and well maintained

Graduates from this college are many but we never get to see them. But still I know few seniors

Exams are a headache I will say. They keep too much of internal exams and practicals

Faculty members are very nice. They teach in a very good way. There qualifications I not sure to me but I think they would be having doctorate in their fields.Their knowledge and interactive skills are good

In the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited on the campus are Maruti, Tata, Mahindra, TVs, Toyota & 2 offers made. The highest and average package as per company is 35,000 to 45,000 per month. 60% of students getting placements. I Plans after getting the degree is job.

Placement Experience:

Our study is important but the most important thing is the placement, which makes your career better. Our college has campus placement and many companies visit and hire our students. In many branches, not all the students get the placement but the students who are toppers and who are good in their study get the placement. I also dream to get a placement so that I can get a job quickly after my diploma. For that, I am really working hard and improving my skills, knowledge, and my scores. Tata Motors, Layam Group, Myntra, Bajaj, and other companies come to our college for the placement. In the final year of our course, this opportunity comes to us and we are very much awaited for that.

Best engineering college for BTech and polytechnic. Architecture department are also in our college. Labs, laboratories, libraries. Buses with camera. Girl hostels.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, our senior get a job in many respected companies. About 70 to 80% of students placed in every year. About 40 students placed in Mechanical in core companies in this. Covid time by virtual placement drive. And minimum package for diploma student is 2.5 LPA to 5lpa.

Placement Experience:

Many companies visited our campus. Every year more than 90 percent of students placed in companies like Shalimar,eldeco, BCC, etc. The percentage should not below 60 percent for participate in interviews. Minimum salary package for freshers of diploma engineering hired 3.5 lakhs per annum. I am planning to go for the government junior engineers exam after completing my diploma

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.

I chose this college over others because of its balanced focus on ACADEMICS, PLACEMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACULTY SUPPORT, which felt more student-centric compared to the other colleges i applied to. I applied to a few similar private universities and received confirmed admission offers, but I chose this college due to its better course strucutre, approachable faculty and strong placement support. Some colleges i applied to had higher cutoffs or limited seats which affected my chances there.
