Indeed mbbs is a very tough course and I regret taking it too much, even though I never talked about this to anyone. It is my sole responsibility for taking mbbs as a profession and a course. Faculties are very good people, but the syllabus is tight.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from general category, so I have some fees. Many of my friends come from reservation category, so they don't have fees and have plenty of scholarships available. Since I don't have scholarships, I am not very well aware of the scholarships available.

Campus Life

There are so many sports available here in the medical College. Classrooms, campus, fests, all are top class here in the medical College and it is indeed a pride for us medical students. And one more thing, most books in the library are mbbs books, idk if there is any normal books

Hostel Facilities

Meal quality is absolutely amazing this year. Last year food was equal to that served in hell. Hostels are affordable. We never get such facilities in any private hostels at such a price. About the facilities in the room, there are 4 people , 2 ceiling fan etc.

Admission

Yes I took neet exam for qualifying the criteria of admission to a medical College in India. I prepared for 1 year at Brilliant study centre Pala Since I was from general category, I was very good marks for getting admission. I got very good marks and a good rank and hence I got admission here.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Great for academics

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .

Calicut Medical College - an ideal place to learn and grow as a doctor

I got admission on state quota (general category) after giving the NEET exam in 2019. I scored 646/ 720 and had an AIR rank of 1039 and state rank of 131. The overall application process was easy and all the necessary forms were given in the college itself. The admission dates were informed in the state website of Kerala, which can be found after filling the application for state quota. Application fees was paid in the college treasury itself.
