Remarks

In whole i will say that university is totally fit for overall development of students.The only thing that sucks is the food quality

Entrance Preview

Entrance exams were there but I was not interested in appearing for that so I just entered here with management quota.There was no interview session for management students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen Computer Engineering and I think the curriculum is quite good.As this is a diploma course so at this level the course seems easy.Practical learning is supported with a lot of lab work.

Internships Opportunities

From the college side I had seen no internships till now but still in hope to get one .The seniors told that we would have to manage one from outside

Placement Experience

Placements are good only here but still not sure what I am going to get .last time the placements were around 2lacs with average package.

Events are organized on periodic basis.Most of them are organized in very grand fashion.The last event was Hackathon

The fee structure is quite reasonable which is 45000/- per year.For management students they had taken some 30,000 extra in starting only.

Exams are like nothing to say about.They are too boring as the syllabus seems a burden

In the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited on the campus are Maruti, Tata, Mahindra, TVs, Toyota & 2 offers made. The highest and average package as per company is 35,000 to 45,000 per month. 60% of students getting placements. I Plans after getting the degree is job.

Placement Experience:

Our study is important but the most important thing is the placement, which makes your career better. Our college has campus placement and many companies visit and hire our students. In many branches, not all the students get the placement but the students who are toppers and who are good in their study get the placement. I also dream to get a placement so that I can get a job quickly after my diploma. For that, I am really working hard and improving my skills, knowledge, and my scores. Tata Motors, Layam Group, Myntra, Bajaj, and other companies come to our college for the placement. In the final year of our course, this opportunity comes to us and we are very much awaited for that.

Best engineering college for BTech and polytechnic. Architecture department are also in our college. Labs, laboratories, libraries. Buses with camera. Girl hostels.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, our senior get a job in many respected companies. About 70 to 80% of students placed in every year. About 40 students placed in Mechanical in core companies in this. Covid time by virtual placement drive. And minimum package for diploma student is 2.5 LPA to 5lpa.

Many companies visited our campus. Every year more than 90 percent of students placed in companies like Shalimar,eldeco, BCC, etc. The percentage should not below 60 percent for participate in interviews. Minimum salary package for freshers of diploma engineering hired 3.5 lakhs per annum. I am planning to go for the government junior engineers exam after completing my diploma

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.

I chose this college over others because of its balanced focus on ACADEMICS, PLACEMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACULTY SUPPORT, which felt more student-centric compared to the other colleges i applied to. I applied to a few similar private universities and received confirmed admission offers, but I chose this college due to its better course strucutre, approachable faculty and strong placement support. Some colleges i applied to had higher cutoffs or limited seats which affected my chances there.
