Honest review of Ajay kumar garg engineering college ghaziabad

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue computer science and engineering. And in akgec, it is quite good among other aktu colleges. The faculties in this college are of both types, the one who have very good knowledge of what they are teaching and there are some teachers also who are just teaching the because they are told to do so but you need to be very active to extract the knowledge from the good teachers. There are two times sessional tests and then pre-university examination in the college and then the final examination of the semester. The difficulty is level is not so high it's up to you how smart you are to prepare for the exams. I have friends who study before a week but score less than who prepare a night before so be clear what you need to study.

In the starting of fourth year, the company starts to visit in the college. The average package is 3-4 lakhs and this year highest is 30 lpa which is offcampus, on campus it is 7-8 lpa. Because of the recession this year, number of students getting placed is less compared to the previous years. But companies are still visiting so the condition will be better. I have also got placement and will be joining that only.

The fees vary every year, for the first year it is around 1,40,000 and in fourth year it is around 1,16,000 and for exact numbers you can check the college website. There are scholarships from the up government also and there are scholarships for girls particularly like pragati and there are particular scholarships for pw candidates. I got a job with 30k around salary and this is average package here.

There is no annual fest kind of thing in the college. In a year there is a freshers party, in which only first year and second year students can go and there is farewell party for final year students which is hosted by third year students . Holi is also get celebrated. And other then this there are different competitions which are conducted by different societies in the college. There are different clubs in the college , cultural and technical as well. If you are not a part of any club or society, your whole college life will go in classes and examination halls. So, be a part of any club according to your interest. Books are provided by the college for that particular semester. This college is very strict and follows discipline very much. One library is there in the college. Classrooms are not air conditioned only fans are there. Sports is quite good of our college, every year students got prizes in the inter competition of colleges. There is one programming club for the coders geeks.

There are two boys hostels and three girls hostels. First year students have their seperate hostel and there is no ragging culture in college. In boys hostel there are single, double and triple seater rooms and in girls hostel there are only double and triple seater rooms. Hostel rooms are not air conditioned and in the summers, you need to purchase your cooler and their will be extra electricity charge for that. Food is good of the mess. And there is variety also in the food, everyday you get different menu so food is not an issue here. For triple seater the price is 1,10,000 and for double seater 1,20,000. You can get the hostel by visiting there. I am also an hosteler.

I have given UPSEE examination, but right now this examination is not getting conducted anymore. So, JEE mains is the examination through which the college takes admission. You will get the reservation in your jee mains examination itself. And you can also take direct admission through management quota but you should have very good grades in your 12th class for that.
