The curriculum is set according to the standard present in most top universities. It is industry oriented and aims to teach skills that will be relevant in the job market and are highly targeted by employers. The student faculty ratio 60 : 1 for an average class. Batch size could be reduced but I don't think it's too hard for teachers to interact with students. Most teachers have completed thier PhD's. Term exam schedule is released before the start of semesters and that schedule is followed pretty strictly. They are easy to pass if you study for even one week before exam, Focus in class throughout the semester and you'd get very good grades.

Internship opportunites are provided through the training and placement cells and collaborations with government agencies, institutions and private companies that are very useful in training students in field work and giving them experience in how they'll have actually have to work.

Campus placements are very good compared to most other private and even some high end government colleges. For students in IT and CSE brances, it'svery likely that you'll get a package upwards of 10 lacs and the avergae package for CSE last year was 13 lacs, with multiple students crossing 30 lacs as well as few crossing 50 lacs. The highest package was around 80 lacs. Companies such as Amazon, Google, Delloite etc come for campus almost every year. Almost 100% students get placed. Placement is mostly why you'd be getting admission in JIIT.

Fee hikes are arbitrary, especially for hostels. The prices are very high and highlyunafforable. It was a major reason why I decided to live in a rented falt with classmates instead of going to the hostel. The cost to study is also high but it can be justified by the high paying campus placements that are not very uncommon.

Impressions is the annual cultural fest and it is generally conducted in March. The library is expansive and easy to access. Books are also availbale through the E - library. Classrooms have projectors, adequate seating, air conditioning etc. There is not much space for outdoor games. Many clubs are run such as IEEE & Optica(Tech), JPEG(Photography hub), Jhankar (Dancing) etc.

The admission process was done in two ways. 75 % of the students were admitted on the basis of JEE mains marks, while the other 25 % were admitted on the basis of 10 + 2 marks in 3 subjects (Physics, Mathematics + 1 optional). The application form, fee structure and details are readily available on the jiit website. I think the counselling can be done more remotely.
